Bwttwer and ... not actually worse ... news.

Kate has recovered to the point where, with someone standing by to spot her, she can get out of the bed standing on her good leg, swing into a wheelchair, and stand again at the other end of the trip ... prior to sitting down to fulfill necessary biological functions ... then reverse the process.

That is, provided there is something solid for her to brace against, and that bed, wheelchair and pottie are appropriate heights.

This is good news! The brain has a lot of ability to "re-learn" motion-control skills... like the Internet, it "routes around damage".

Here's hoping her recovery continues!

Good news indeed.

Courage and strength to you both, and thanks for the updates!

Keeping you both in my thoughts.
My husband was on a walker after his stroke, and now you wouldn't know it to look at him. Continued wishes for recovery!

We're home {1520 EDT}.

Now she has to sit outside till Steve gets home and we can figure out how to get her in.

The wheelchair is too wide for any door in the house, and there are three doorways between the garage (where she is right now) and her new room.

And four steps up in four different places
