Aargh!
I had congratulated myself that I seem to be immune to TV Tropes. But now I know I will be addicted to this.

Gizmo's Freeware's "Cool Site of the Week".
GF is an incredible reference for freeware of all kinds, divided into classes and categories, and they put out a daily e-mail listing Something Interesting - free games, graphics, utilities, wallpapers, what-the-hell-ever else.
