Well, she's trying to do the right thing . . .
She definitely needs some quality time with Tanta Phix or Aunt Bud.

She was reading a rom-com manga. I'll just leave this here:

You know you did the right thing when your conscience is clean but your heart is bleeding.
Pickles deserves some comforting hugs right now.

Of course they do.
(That's one of her common approaches to starting a mutual grooming/snuggle/comforting session.)

Crap. Tomorrow is Friday. Dammit.
So... It has come to this. I am now getting pre-cliffhanger frustration.

This con has a lot of running, crying, broken hearted young girls in it.
If this were an anime romance, Castela would now run into HER true love. Or Bud. Or die, if it were a real tear jerker. I wonder what IS going to happen.

The committee got a special price on them.

Hmmm . . . Dying probably
would give someone "
issues" . . .
Though I don't think that's going to happen.

Empathy has its disadvantages. We'll have a whole weekend to vicariously feel the pain of a broken heart
and a far-too-much-ice-cream-at-once brain-freeze headache when she tries to drown her sorrows in a gallon of Rocky Road.
Poor kid. Her situation is a perfect fit for an anime plot, she sees it reflected all around her at the con... and she isn't even going to earn royalties.

At least everybody is getting their exercise with all of this running around. I wonder if anime conventions have an "Emotionally Overwhelmed Preteen Girl Cool-Down Room" where she can hang out for a bit.

Run along at full speed, realise that Bud is her true love (their names are Acacia and Castela, so obviously they were made for each other), then collide with Bud and die from the impact?

And then wake up with Patrick Duffy taking a shower in her bathroom.

Without looking it up, I'd want to say that it was his brother Bobby, but that in the end it was all a dream. (I'm not sure about the Bobby part, but I'm fairly certain about the dream part.)
Incidentally, I always was upset, as a kid, to see that Larry Hagman would take on a role like that of J.R., after having enjoyed watching him in
I Dream Of Jeannie...

I'm thinking it was one of the women, and that it "really happened".
But i never watched even two minutes of that thing, so i could easily be wrong.
====
Nope. I was right:
Ultimately, the person who pulled the trigger was revealed to be Kristin Shepard (Mary Crosby) in the "Who Done It?" episode which aired on November 21, 1980. Kristin was J.R.'s scheming sister-in-law and mistress, who shot him in a fit of anger. J.R. did not press charges, as Kristin claimed she was pregnant with his child as a result of their affair

{What i really love, reading the article, is that {A} doing a cliffhanger there was a negotiating ploy because Hagman was demanding more money, and {B} one of the reasons it became as Big a Thing as it id was because there was an eight-week writers' strike that kept them from following it up as soon as they settled the contract talks, and dragged it out.

So after following your link, then another, then another...
It turns out that the dream bit was where Bobby was killed by a car, and was absent for a whole season from the show, only to appear again the following season, in the shower, while his wife wakes up and realizes that all the events that had taken place in the previous season had been a dream she had had.
