(psst... at 800 Fahrenheit there's no brimstone, only molten sulfur. In fact the stuff boils at 832 and change. For brimstone you want to cool things to 235.)

And somewhere in Chicago, an unspecified sports outfit is making arrangements to buy a new goat.

Well, we're boned.

I pay more attention to the weather on Mars than to sports, but even I know this is a sure sign of the Apocalypse. And Tuesday is Election Day?

And I just made 86 gallons of new wine last month, and got new brake pads and rotors and bought cellphone minutes, too . . .

What you call apocalypse, I call fun. It's just a chance to put my skills to the ultimate test. I've been preparing for the end of the world for about a decade now. Sign me up!

Yeah, this year did suck. But at least the cubbies won! Gotta find that silver lining somewhere.

So, I didn't follow the game. How many touchdowns were they ahead, at the end of the scrum?

No, this adds to the suck.

Remember, Glytch: I'm on the north side of that border running from the lake to the river...

So, you're feeling badly ill-annoyed by situation to your south?

Y'know, I've just had a new design submitted to me for review. It's a modification for tippman paintball guns. A new barrel, receiver, and magazine designed for tranq darts, loaded in as sabot rounds. It's looking awfully interesting just now... Semi-automatic, the data is showing fairly good range and accuracy for an air-powered weapon... Somewhat difficult to make and pay for initially, but it seems like it would pay for itself rather quickly. And best of all... It's damn near silent.

Glytch, get me the design. I can have it ready in a few days.

ANYTHING to shut him up... :)
