Cold case, anyone?

Of course, Pickle's unusual phrasing might just be an homage to "Gramma'r Lily".

I'm not sure it's really a cold case, though. Lily's expression looks a bit more like "Oh my God, kid, you're going to rip off that scab and kick over those damp rocks?!?" with a dash of "Hell, I left my neuralizer at the office."

You're right... it may not be a cold case, just one which the Gilchrist family is not in the "need-to-know" loop.

Interesting. Both for the fact that we may find out more about that part of Atsali's life, and that Castela wants to know in the first place, after having correctly surmised the situation (to help her sister, perhaps?)

This may become a traumatic ride for our sweet Blackthorn... learning that her origin was the indirect cause of 'Sali losing her parents.

Well, well, well! We've had well over a year of setup and establishing narrative -- and it's finally time for the show!

Learning that she is the answer to her new quest, and was (indirectly and involuntarily) the cause of the death of Atsali's parents... well, to slightly misquote Hawkeye, that would put anybody off of their creamed chipped beef on toast.

Just how common is the knowledge of how Atsali's parents died in the paranormal community? Certainly this isn't something that is talked about outside of MiB circles... Also, how much does Lily know? I know she's MiB but is this something that she's got a need to know for?

Lily's reaction can be read a few ways...

1. She knows the story and is horrified that Castela wants to dig it up, knowing that no good will come of this.

2. She doesn't know the story, however has heard that Atsali's parents abandoned her and knows that no good could possibly come of digging up the truth.

3. She does or doesn't know the story and knows that asking Castela to keep her mouth shut so as not to hurt Atsali is asking too much of the little weed, who will go straight to Atsali and spill the truth to her. Atsali will be devastated and being a hormone fuelled teenager bad things will happen.

Poor G'ma Lily... She's probably like, "Why me?"

Wouldn't it be funny - and I'm completely guessing here - if the only one who's still around from the "cleanup" of how Atsali's parents were killed happens to be Cricket's aunt...
