If someone figures out how to extract electricity from teen angst they could rule the world.

Well, it's nice to see this didn't turn out to be a forever dangling plot thread. A healthy dose of resolution is always nice, in a story.

And kudos on the non-silent-hill solution, Devyn!

Huh, "Feel like an Outsider...' fits, rhythm wise into the Lyric:

Or her perceptions of sex are different than the norm. Like Atsali's.

We don't know who - or what - her father is/was. He may be of a different enough species that her biology is very strange.

She may not have a father . . . IIRC, not all of the nymphs did.

Sometimes trying to grow up as a normal well adjusted member of society is like trying to raise a kitten to be a normal well adjusted Holstein. Not only does it not work, it makes you look stupid for trying.

An asexual nymph sounds like some sort of contradiction. Weren't nymphs supposed to be seductive? Of course, that could just be part of their predatory behavior.

I dont believe he was saying she was a nymph, just using that as an example. As for her father being a different species, my copy of Biology of the Gods must have gotten lost so i cant be sure but given they can be male, female or animal as the mood strikes i would guess not being interested in sex at all would not be a major stretch.

Poseidon is her uncle.

Hmm. Suddenly it occurs to me that Devyn is related to Justin. Poseidon's father Cronus had a brother, Iapetus. Iapetus is Justins' father.

If Persephone is her grandmother, that'd make her grandfather Hades. Which'd make sense with the whole shadow-world thing she's capable of sending people into....

Unless, as others have suggested, she's s late bloomer. Psychological and physiological puberty might hit her as suddenly as it did Atsali.
