So what IS Abby, anyway?

Predator, obviously . . . maybe another nymph? (From what I remember of mythology, they'd be in the same class as sirens and "tunagirls".)

Come to that, have we ever seen any known bevies?

So, is warning the bevies that a pred is coming at a run school policy?

I would think that the only ones who needed to yell like that are the super predators. There may be other predators but not on their scale.

A curious policy.

I'm guessing that if they're in a mood/feel the need to run, having people obstruct them might trigger predator instincts of some sort, making them more likely to become violent.

Could also be that you don't want to startle anyone into fleeing . . .

I suspect Ms. Alger would be at risk of ogling, except for my equally strong suspicion that she is capable of removing the faces of people that offend her. "Hot for Predat Teacher" would be a very different song.

From what I remember when the kids were first introduced, she's a canine familiar. Whatever that means in this setting.

I'm quite curious to see how/if the paranormal sides of Abbie and Mallory (an amphiptere) are shown.

Wasn't Abbie the one that was nicknamed Otter? Could be a literal nickname.


I wonder if anyone has ever called Atsali Big Bird?

I mean, seven feet tall? (The Big Bird I knew was only 6'7" . . . Don't remember his first name any more.)

Big Bird was Carol Spinney.

Devyn is nicknamed Otter.

With a last name of Kohl, I imagine Abbie is part German Shepherd...

From what i seem to recall Paul saying, i think it's mostly a nickname based on how she looks when she grins.
