We're well into "comedy of errors" territory now, much to Pickle's great frustration!

I wonder whether this is a sort of karmic payback for her manipulations to get Timothy to spend time with her? A sort of "Not so fast, young lady!" balancing of the scales?

Well, the good news is, he'll want to come over all the time, now.

Not only is it a wet t-shirt, it's a _cold_wet t-shirt.
I have to wonder if too much of that kind of stimulation is healthy at his age.

You have to wonder if Atsali is doing this on purpose... maybe getting back at the little stink weed for past transgressions....

Cold, wet soaked-shirt Atsali... that would be a sight indeed...

cold water would be really great now, just not for atsali. perhaps she can pour some over timothy. he sure needs it by now. poor boy, i can only imagine what's going on in his head now.

Well, that answers the question as to whether or not Atsali was being deliberate or oblivious.

Does this sort of thing even happen in real life? I mean, Atsali is like a perfect storm, she's pathologically oblivious and her species has eons of evolution specifically tailored for being literally lethally sexy.

But...

Ok, what I'm trying to say is I've never even heard of this happening in reality, much less been there to observe the phenomenon personally.

Granted, I'm only in my twenties. And I wasn't exactly paying much attention until middle school. But still.

Possibly, but... considering how sensitive Atsali is about how Sirens are perceived (sexuality aggressive, sexual predators), and how firmly she resolved not to use her Siren powers on people, it just doesn't feel "in character" that she would deliberately flash/tease a young boy like Timothy as a way of getting payback against Castela.

No, I think she's honestly behaving in the way Pickle thinks she's behaving... Atsali is just being socially clueless again. She isn't catching any of Pickle's verbal of body-language cues, isn't thinking of Timothy as anything other than "little kid", and hasn't gotten around to working out the fact that she is accidentally gobsmacking him right in his neurohormonal axis.

In the battle to gain the Timothy's attention, Pickle is losing on all fronts. And thanks to Pixar's "Inside Out", I can imagine what is going on inside his head

- scene: inside the Timothy's head-
*sirens are wailing, and red lights are fleshing all over the control room*
Emotion in Charge (I will call it "Captain", for the sake of the skit): "What is going on out there!? Status report!"
Some other Emotion ("Emotion 1"): "Sir! Castela's older sister just stepped out of her room half naked, and wearing a top that can barely contain her boobs!"
Captain: "My God, we have only just started updating his systems! This is too much, too soon!"
Emotion 2: "Sir, the hormone levels are overflowing past containment, and the sex drive is running into the red! The systems are locking up, there is nothing I can do!"
Captain: "Dam it!"
Emotion 1: "Sir! The sister is leaving the room!"
*Captain slumps in his chair, and lets out an audible sigh of relief*
*the sirens stop and normal lighting returns*
Captain: "All right, gentlemen, I know we have not fully trained in this yet, but lets start up the "cooling down" process and get the hell out of here."
Emotion 1: "But Sir! I still do not have motor control!"
Captain: "Then we will need Castela to..."
*Sirens and red lights start up again*
Intercom Voice: "Warning, wet t-shirt inference! Warning, wet t-shirt inference!"
*The intercom keeps looping the same message as the sirens and lights are going off*
*The Captain jolts out of his chair with a look of sheer horror, and the scene goes black*

On the subject of whether Atsali is being wickedly intentional, or bumbling cluelessly, let's remember how she herself admitted that she is "an awkward walking disaster"...


Looking for that strip set me to thinking... with the latest time skip, so we could see Castela reach puberty, I guess we won't be seeing Ellen Vonn, anymore... She did say she was graduating that year...


Another thought also came to me, on the subject of the time skip: is the comic shifting focus again? Are we going to concentrate on castela more, and Atsali will be relegated to an almost secondary role? (That's almost what it feels like...)

Meanwhile, is Atsali still on the flight club? (Most likely.) Is she running the show? (Who knows...) Will we ever see Devyn, Abbie, the ursamorph twins, and all the others again? Time will tell.

Knowing Pablo's penchant for taking a long view of storyline evolution... it would not surprise me if we had a period of story arcs which focus on Castela, developing her character as a soon-to-be adult... just as we have had for Atsali over the past couple of years.

That might then set things up for the next Big Adventure and Major Crisis of some sort, with Atsali and Castela interacting with Tina, Phix, Kath, Monica, and Shelly. Some sort of continuation of the Blackthorn Weapons Lab and the Fae War sequence seems possible and perhaps necessary.

Remember, constructing a good Chekhov's Gun requires a lot of work in the iron mine, refinery, forge, and gunpowder mill before the gun is ever even seen

Well yes it really does happen in reality. I was at a party at a friends out in Riverside California. The booze was flowing and i was relaxing in the hot tub. Lovely young lady came in on her way back from a ren fair. She stepped in the hot tub still in costume. I yelled she was gonna ruin that dress. She snatched it off wearing nothing under it. At that moment i lost the ability to speak, think coherent thoughts and some drooling was involved. So ii have been where poor timmy is now. iz ded

Definitely need to call the Mr. Wizard people because we definitely need a new Timmy.
