Atsali points out the bright side to Katherine.
Given the difference between the shots we've seen of her in what were probably her K-6 years and fifteen-year-old Atsali when she met Katherine, it must have been a doozy.

The minus side?
She's a plant, and she's saying "FEED ME!"
Audrey III?

Katherine is definitely sporting the 'touch of wisdom' in her hair...
Looks good.
(I think Castela might be part loco-weed...)

I still eat like that.
My metabolism is ridiculous. I run a little hot; my body temperature is usually a little bit high. I think my average is right on the beginning of a fever.
I burn more calories than most people just by sitting - I attribute part of this to my constant quasi-fever and part of it to the fact that even when I am not consciously thinking about something, I usually have a few pots on the back burner, so to speak.
And when I am actually doing stuff, I can (and frequently do) intentionally force an adrenaline release, which allows me to utilize a higher total percentage of my muscle mass. So I can do the same kind of heavy lifting or high-impact stuff as people 50% bigger than I am.
This burns A LOT of energy, and it also causes more wear and tear on my body, so I have to eat a lot to refuel and repair.

On a completely different note: I'd say there was a time skip: look at how much more white is in Kath's hair.
And fer cryin' out loud, let's not start a shitstorm about how grey hair works this time, please? I'm calling it grey hair, you can call it a highlight due to shininess, and we can agree to disagree.

Now if you could just harness that energy you could probably power a small city.

Unfortunately, the exuberant energy of young children is inherently chaotic, and is extremely difficult to harness. Parents have been trying to direct it into constructive channels for... well, millennia I suppose... and haven't even succeeded with things as simple as "Clean your room" or "Mow the lawn".

I wouldn't say it's inherently chaotic . . . it's always directed towards the child's current interest/attention.
It's just that kids have the attention span of a ferret on meth . . .

"preferably loaded with sugar".
Which would explain the hyper . . .

Not so much. The majority of plant biomass comes from the air.
That's why trees don't make depressions in the ground around them.

Also from water.
