Was Atsali knocked unconscious by the collision?
Re: Hello? New comic, perhaps?
This is known in literature as the pregnant pause... it is used to build excitement and expectation...

So when Ellen crashed into Atsali, one of them got pregnant? That will be awkward to explain back at school!DilyV wrote:This is known in literature as the pregnant pause...

I still say that Nadette could do just that if she took male form . . .Catawampus wrote:So when Ellen crashed into Atsali, one of them got pregnant? That will be awkward to explain back at school!DilyV wrote:This is known in literature as the pregnant pause...

Depends on if her mutability is limited only to her basic physical shape, or if it goes down to the cellular and chromosomal level. If you could just throw a couple of ova at each other and they'd fertilise, then virgin births would be a lot less miraculous.FreeFlier wrote:I still say that Nadette could do just that if she took male form . . .

Well they have fused 2 ova together and got a viable offspring, but it takes 3 surgeries and a mad science lab to get it to work. IIRC both nuclei were removed and placed together in a strong electric field until they fused then the fused nuclei were placed back into the ova from the female intended to carry the embryo and normal pregnancy ensued with a female offspring resulting. This was a mammalian species, so it could also work with humans.

Whaaaaat? That ain't really mad science.
REAL mad science has giant robots, giant mutant monsters, deformed lab assistants, doomsday devices... This? This is just weird science.

Cellular, yes, but I say that chromosomal wouldn't be necessary.Catawampus wrote:Depends on if her mutability is limited only to her basic physical shape, or if it goes down to the cellular and chromosomal level. . . .FreeFlier wrote:I still say that Nadette could do just that if she took male form . . .
Of course, in that case the baby would be female - no male chromosomes available.

Well, you just told me you're up to something... Honestly, as long as it isn't an airborne weaponized version of HFMD, or a five-assed monkey (or any other animal with five asses), I may not have a problem with it.Sgt. Howard wrote:Alkarii wrote:Whaaaaat? That ain't really mad science.

If I were a mad scientist, I wouldn't be a villain. I'd prefer to be a good guy.

Good guys have to play by the rules... where's the fun in that? Besides, the monkey only has three asses... so far...Alkarii wrote:Well, you just told me you're up to something... The Doctor: Good men don’t need rules. Today is not the day to find out why I have so many.

you are still thinking *limited* HUMAN biology!! you will have to ask pablo for the **paranormal** handbook!FreeFlier wrote:Cellular, yes, but I say that chromosomal wouldn't be necessary.Catawampus wrote:Depends on if her mutability is limited only to her basic physical shape, or if it goes down to the cellular and chromosomal level. . . .FreeFlier wrote:I still say that Nadette could do just that if she took male form . . .

They most likely have 200,000 DNA memo groups or more, and make use of trans-uranic elements...
