If Jordan is underneath, did she just cross over Jordan for a teddybear?

I'm going to assume that these two are having a waking nightmare... and that Devyn has them locked in a "nightmare in a moment" where they experience a fraction of elapsed time as if it were real time. If not, She's left them standing in the hall, the girls are late for class, and the teachers and or hall monitors with find them locked in a trance. Do these girls even watch horror movies? Don't they read tropes? Never... EVER pick up the teddy bear. It's like she volunteered to be last in line with a slasher on the loose... everyone knows that doesn't end well!!! Except Jordan... she seems to have wound up IN the well so to speak.

Could she be trying the pity angle? Hoping that the Big Bad has some dignity and self-respect, and would find it just too demeaningly easy to pick off somebody who puts her neck on the line so blatently?

It's like the commercial that's been running lately... "Let's run into the graveyard!" "No, we can hide in the garage behind the bloody chainsaws!"

Wait... you're not supposed to pick up the teddy bear? I thought teddy bears were symbols of safety.

We may be on the wrong path. It is possible the monster we think turned into the bear is a protector, and by picking it up and taking it with her, Not-Jordan has ensured her own safety. After all, the monster had time to shred Not-Jordan before she turned around and saw the bear. It didn't. It may not be hostile.

If this is a nightmare, it's hard to tell what the rules are...

Jordan seems to have come through a long fall rather well...

Actually the bear may be the one to find its caught in a nightmare if she brings it back to reality from dreamland.

Reminds me of the one about the guy who goes to hell and as he is walking across the hot coals to the lake of fire he sees a famous attorney sitting on a comfy sofa in the shade, eating strawberries and drinking champagne with a gorgeous blonde. Jordan: A snarky selfish bully with long hair and a penchant for making others feel less worthy in order to justify her own delusions of grandeur. Also seems to lack the common sense god gave to a can of soup. Currently in ego form, bruised and battered from falling through several floors of an empathy nightmare.

Not Jordan. A short haired girl that is good at heart but craves acceptance so she goes along with the bullying to avoid being the victim of the bully. When someone is in trouble, her instinct is to help; regardless of their social status. Also likes to snuggle with teddy bears--more child than bully--or so it would seem. (with any luck, Jordan will call out for Not Jordan and use her real name so we can stop calling her "Not Jordan")

Both are students in a paranormal school, or rather, a school for paranormals; and should have known better than to go poking at someone they know so little about. This implies that the school has strict rules against actually physically harming/killing another sentient being (also explains why pickle was shocked and horrified to learn that faeries are sentient beings with feelings--having just tried to squish the little princess).

Like that phrase from the Alladin cartoon,
"Don't worry, he is a genie and genies can't kill anyone"
"Yes, but you'd be surprised at what you can live through. . ."

Perhaps the school is like the library (or even in a part of the library) and it wont let you kill anyone . . . that would explain why the students are not as cautious about other students powers and abilities. Unless paranormal teens are just like normal teens and are just too stupid to be cautious--so they just do stupid things.

Maybe we don't know anything about these two so we wont miss them when the die . . .you know, like not naming the animals when you live on a farm.

Screw this, I'm going back to the confusion corner and making some more popcorn . . .

Yeah...safety in numbers...unless that number is "2" and it's you and the creepy, dangerous thing.

Well, it looks like she had to cross over Jordan once, and now it looks like she's heading back, so she's crossing Jordan again.
