I couldn't help it! I thought of the most harmless thing I could from my entire childhood -- the StayPuft Marshmallow man! Then, a Teddy Bear....

I'll post my first thought when I saw this page

"Is that a demon?"

I thought humans were the only ones to host demons?

But it that's a demon, does it mean Devyn has demons?

other thought ... is there such a thing as a greek god of fear? or nightmares? or terror?

If there is then perhaps Devyn is related? There is just something about the way things have happened so far that make me think that.

Also, that might make the movie spoken about HERE is one most of would sleep with the lights on after watching :p

Cricket was shown with personal demons(and Monica is working with her), so no.

Looking at the placement, I think the bear IS the monster. It may change form if you look at it, sort of like how those blankety-blank Weeping Angels from Dr. Who 'freeze' when you look at them.

Devyn must have had a disturbing childhood.

Phobos - God of fear. Son of Ares and Aphrodite.

Phobetor - Personification of nightmares. Parentage open to debate.

Almost all the Greek gods are related to each other someway. Some, by family relationships not according to Hoyle.

When i saw that bear first thing that came to mind was Bearalzebub, the devilbear. That was followed by the memory of a two day nightmare trip from ND to Alabama with a preggers wife, a 3 year old, a 4year old and talking Teddy Ruxpen.

Guess Paul really is taking some queues from Silent Hill with this one.

You know... it is relatively easy to re-program a story into one of those tapes. One enterprising soul sold tapes for Teddy that were pure porn- one of the reasons they were pulled from the shelves.

That... thing... in the third panel has a decidedly mantid look. Mantises are ambush predators who blend into their surroundings. Just saying.

Weeping Angels, I thought the same thing when the shadowy scary thing turned into a "harmless" teddy bear. At this point I do not know who is worse off, the one that fell through the floor (might still be experiencing "falling" through floor, after floor, after floor, etc. See also "bottomless pit".) or our current short haired nitwit facing the nightmare teddy bear.

Perhaps Devyn's real secret is that not only is her Uncle Poseidon, but her father is actually Hades(or Zeus) and her real name is Melinoë a chthonic nymph that brings nightmares and madness. . . .

I think Devyn needs a session or three or four with Monica to help her with her inner 'demons'? Are they demons or are they just internalized nightmares?

Either way Devyn needs to end the object lesson in "Be careful who you fuck with... they might fuck back... harder." Suffice it to say these two have a newfound respect for Devyn...
