The bottom drops out...

They don't make floorboards like they used to... and there's a deplorable shortage of escape hatches, ladders back to reality, and faithful beast-hunting hound dogs.

I don't think we should worry much, though. It appears it's only a stage she's going through.

Surprising amount of empathy and concern here. I would have expected them both to be concerned with saving their own skins at best. The nature of the place may be screwing with them though...

Interesting to note that character 1a now has a name: "Jordan". And she's the one who started the "dumb ass" commentary to begin with...

Jordan now has the floor.

Oh noes! The floor eats people!

God help us all if she fell into the basement where that creepy little girl is...

Slapping "were" at the front of a monster's type name to indicate it changes shape (granted I know this was meant as a pun) is to monster naming as obligatory boobs are to indicating "female" in creature design; lazy as hell and seldom making sense.

As horrifying as this moment is, THAT still deserves a round of applause.

On one hand, I'm with Devyn in so much that occasionally bullies need a good bloody nose.

Unfortunately, these seem to be the mildly cruel types who only target specific people, as opposed to the irredeemable sorts who enjoy the suffering of others and revel in the fear and horror they cause.

Having dealt with both, I suspect Devyn may have crossed a line.

I suspect these two will have a life-altering experience, one that leaves them better people than what they were. Remember, they are standing in a hallway in school- their MINDS are tripping the light fantastic across rotted floorboards and hearing cries for help.
I will re-establish what I had said before- these two are just downright STUPID as well as CRUEL- their verbal attack on Devyn is very typical of what you would expect in a normal human school and quite deplorable... to deliberately prod somebody in a realm where magic is quite real shows the brains of a brick.

They went looking for trouble.
They found it.
Why should they be surprised?

This is a good thing. With the two separated, she doesn't have to hear Jordan saying "I TOLD YOU SO!" when it turns out that it is indeed a trap.
