OK not-a-fight fight. Sounded good while it lasted though.

Oh man, don't get me started on shadows! I swear, mine is out to murder me with how often it tries to take my feet out from under me!

Friends.

Real, true friends.
A nice way to end a week. What's the "anti" of a cliffhanger?

They have a southern style of speaking, without the accent. Then again, the only southern accent in the comic comes off as an affectation, anyway. Hm...

And yet, for some reason, I keep imagining Devyn with a Bahstan accent...
(Deposits a Red Sox cap in the pun vault for those who don't get the joke...)

I was never comfortable insulting my friends, even in jest.* It just doesn't seem like something friends
do, but all the time I see and hear this sort of thing.

Maybe I was just raised differently or something. You all can probably imagine how confusing most of my school life and other social interaction has been.
*
Threats are a different matter, of course. I have no qualms about telling someone close to me that I'll stab them with a blunt pencil if they don't get their crotch out of my personal space. True story.

The last couple days have been pretty wonderful for new threats and expressions, haven't they?

Fortunately, by the time I was in high school, it was well understood that statements along the lines of
Don't give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings! were simply a respectful sign of honest friendship.
We had good role models, back then.

So long as you're not within ten blocks of them when they get REALLY mad.

Also, it's not impossible to fall down a flight of stairs in a one story house. Some houses do have those two steps leading up to a slightly elevated room. :3

Yay for friends that know when threats and insults should and shouldn't be taken seriously. I'm glad Devyn isn't truly alone.

That second panel is so evocative of Shelly and Monica!

Plenty of houses have a basement not counted as a story.

One of my daughters did a face plant into a coffee table off the one step into a sunken living room. Almost 40 years later she's still accident prone.

Perhaps she should have threatened to make her listen to Red Green for a week!
And remember to vote now, vote often!
