Very interesting thought you have there!Maybe matchmaker in a friendship sense, not necessarily romantic. Petal-pusher knows Nadette is good for her sister, any which way. It was stated that the Humans were trying to experiment on the Blackthorns. Gene splicing human cells onto a Blackthorn to result in an anamorphized human/plant hybrid could be what we are seeing here. She has the learning and knowledge of the plant side but forced into human sorta form.
