This is the first time we see 2 of the main chars stuffing toys down each others throats, is it?

Why is it that I can only think of the kind of trope where, as soon as they turn a corner, the tables are turned, because the one being chased right now has a whole bunch of reinforcements waiting for them?

that's the only things i can think of either... it's not as bad as the reasons Monica gave for dumping Kevin like she did, but this ranks up there in the same category for me... this is too much of a WTF? moment for anything else.

Nah... I believe that Pickle is setting up a meeting engagement... or ambush... but around that corner is Nadette... waiting to get Atsali to listen... and do some listening of her own. They both have a lot to get off their chests... some more than others... hehe
*Tosses an over the shoulder boulder holder in the pun jar for good measure.*

I think that Atsali never quite believed the "It's not your fault" sentiments after horned girl was found. Denial is a hard thing to get past sometimes... as is guilt, whether it is real or perceived. Atsali has some heavy guilt weighing on her... and Nadette is probably the best person to help her through it... outside of Monica. Even Katherine is not well equipped for this talk... unless she somehow has guilt feelings over what happened to her archeological team.
I think Nadette is around that corner... and she'll turn bear on Atsali to pin her down if she has to. Not as a threat... but a sheer weight advantage.
