And here we see the first proud graduate of aunt shellys school of how to handle men.

She gets serious points, for being able to carry through with her original idea about asking Jacob out on a date, right after giving him a demonstration of her Amazing Powers Of Industrial Strength Mythbusting. Good for her!

And good for him, too. He didn't run, or (as far as we can see) grab the nearest ranged weapon.

You know, I get a serious Monica vibe, here... What with the attitude, the hat, the hair in the back (as opposed to gravity-defying hair), and the 8-ball shirt...

and there is Castela's big "she can rip a grown man in half" sister we know and respect

( Nudge on drums, Shelly on Fender Precision bass, Randi on Strat lead, Nadette on Gibson semi-acoustical rhythm- all join in chorus)
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends, (Atsali is catching the rhythm) yes I get high with a little help from my friends, (Jacob points to her, indicating her to sing next verse)Umm gonna try with a little help from my friends (she gets big-eyed and nervously nods)
(Atsali) (Delightful girly soprano with a natural fluttery vibrato, think young Dolly Parton) What do I do when my love is away
(All others- 5 part harmony) does it worry you to be alone?
(Atsali) how do I feel by the end of the day?
(Others) are you sad because you're on your own?
(ALL- Harmony) No I get by with a little help from my friends, Ummm I get high with a little help from my friends, umm gonna try with a little help from my friends

(Jacob) I just need someone to love (points at Atsali)

(Atsali- BIG smile now) I want somebody to love
(Band) Would you belive in a love at first sight?
(Jacob) Yes I'm certain that it happens all the time-
(Band) what do you see when you turn out the light?
(Atsali) I can't tell you but I Know it's mine (the note on 'know' she jumps a half-octave harmonic, eyes closed, and makes it sound easy)
(ALL- Harmony) Yes I get by with a little help from my friends, Ummm I get high with a little help from my friends, umm gonna try with a little help from my friends
(Band) Do you need anybody?
(Jacob) I just need someone to love
(Band) could it be anybody?
(Atsali) I want some body to love

(Jacob and Atsali- He does melody, she does Soprano) Yes I get by with a little help from my friends with a little help from my friends...
(Jacob and Atsali close in on each other- the band filters out, giggling, to break room- except Nudge who lingers to see that 'first kiss'- an arm grabs her by the throat, we have a 'Chuck Jones' moment where she is cross-eyed and tongue hanging out before she is unceremoniously YANKED offstage, Jacob and Atsali now touching, fade-out JUST before lips meet.

OK- THAT is out of my system, I can take my meds and I'll be fine

OK, that...actually went better than I thought it would. Though it's sad that Atsali still has to face that sort of siren prejudice - even from other races that seem to have a promiscuous reputation.

Well, THAT took care of Atsali's nerves. For a while, at least.

I gotta go with lake_wrangler, below. The Monica vibe here is powerful, even without the 8-ball. Or perhaps, it's not so much the Monica thing from Atsali, but the Kevin reaction from Jacob.

Ahw...... And he's been so good with the mythologies so far. Satyrs don't have horns (they're 1/2 horse), so he'd be a faun (1/2 goat and with goat horns) or a descendant of Pan (also 1/2 goat).

Still wouldn't put it past Himself, Himself to subvert the Satyr trope in the case of the female, if she even turns out to share his mytho-parentage.
