I like the Quantum Phone mention, and the fact that Tiffany is not phased in the least by this. It's also nice to see that Georgette has apparently finally quit the modeling career.

Only Amanda's name was used in the first page. It's actually quite a few pages before someone references Monica by name.

Interesting logo for the shop, yes?

And no one has speculated on M and Jet, yet. And Monica is very blushy there.

Yup. Monica's name wasn't used in the strip until 10/8/2001 (although Amanda referred to her as "M" a couple of times before that), while Roy was named in the very second strip.

I am probably reading too much into this, but Tiffany does not seem surprised by Monica and Jet "poiting" to southern France. It also looks as if she has the pointed canines that Paul seems to add to so many of his paranormal characters.


*** One other small item. In panel three the "Y" in Jet's speech balloon looks like an "H" making the answer "Hes, ma'am!" instead of the expected "Yes, ma'am!"

They shared an intense experience so there is an intimacy to their relationship. Far be it from me to discourage speculation of hot girl-on-girl action, but I seriously doubt their friendship has crossed over into where a lot of guys (and maybe some girls) hope it has. I'm pretty sure Monica has gotten blushy with Jin as well. [/wet blanket]

Whoa! Mega whiplash! I don't believe we have ever changed so abruptly. Maybe when we went to the Time Tree Forest and met Shellinx for the first time was as great, I don't know. Monica quit the museum, She running the antique shop directly now. She's hired, or taken on Jet as a partner. Yet another new character who must be a paranormal as well to even know of the quantum phone and is not phased by the about to happen poit. And why does one need a quantum phone? You can make trans-atlantic phone calls on regular cell phones too. Yeah, it's expensive but what must a quantum phone cost per minute!? Of course they may be cheerfully provided free by MIB. A phone to phone connection made through the nearest wormhole anywhere in the galaxy. Maybe anywhere in any known dimension for that matter.

Gad, that third panel is so full of things unspoken. Has Monica gone bi or is she just embarrassed because Jet is hugging her in such a manner so as to be poited with her? That should not really be necessary though. When she panic poited Jin along with her from one of the candidate islands Jin was not even in contact with Monica. This is not the only panel that bespeaks of a possible intimate relationship between them. Still, it may also be that Jet is more interested in Monica than vice versa. Monica seemed to be pretty hard-core hetro heretofore, so any deep feelings may be pretty much one sided. Monica also doesn't strike me as the type to cheat on her steady either. Of course, this being the Day of Great and Terrible Wapsi Whiplash, we could find out it's over between her and Kevin as well. Him being merely mortal and all that. They could agree that, her being dangerous and in dangerous company, not to mention immortal, it would be best for both to go their separate ways.

Or, you know, he's cool with that. As long as he get's to take pictures. He is a professional photographer.

Yes, it is. She may carry a fair amount of pre-columbian items. Some that are in "like new" condition even. Items not found anywhere else. OTOH, such items may be common in this area, it being such a paranormal hotbed. Who knows what trans-dimensional thingies are for sale in the little shops there.
