Cricket (and Da Bearz, probably) is ENTIRELY bemused now.

Calista is confused by Castela,
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

It must be annoying to be a fae. Even when someone is threatening your life and you know you should be appropriately respectful, it's really hard when you are totally looking right up their skirt.

With the exception of the RIP I do see a squish. (If that counts as a pun I leave my Big Book of Limericks in the Pun Vault)

Castela is looking up and does not appear to notice Calista at all. (frame 4)

It may be time for Atsali to swoop in to the rescue as she has in the past.

Cricket is looking particularly cute in frame four. (Castela always looks cute.)

No more quiet little poits for Miss Gotta-Make-A-Dramatic-Exit-To-Impress-The-Lesser-Beings, apparently. Her new role as Jaguar Girl - The Mentor has really gone to her head.

I dunno, 'gone to her head'?

eh, I'd say rather that it's trade-craft and essential not to waste the preceding effort.

I waiting for Calista to know what Calesta is (the Fae having inside knowledge of such things - - maybe).
If I Knew What I Was Doing I'd Be Dangerous.

That was certainly a step above "poit."

I wonder when we're gonna get to explore Monica's new limits.

My thought exactly but ya beat me to it.

Calista's expression is either surprise at about being run over, or it is what the heck is one of these things doing here. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. Worst case is Calesta is a type being the Fae consider dangerous and wants to swat. Best case Calista grows to human size and grabs Pickle to keep here from being hurt. Flip a coin. Knowing Paul it will be something else entirely.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Those showy entrances and exits full of lightning and Saint Elmo's Fire are appropriate - nay, obligatory - for one who has been reluctantly thrust into such a public role in the paranormal society. It comes with the job. As the song says, "You can't hide, you're ionized."

(Offers a kite and a key to the Pun Jar)

I'm sure that in her private life she'll stick to quiet poits (which still occasionally deliver her passengers to the wrong restroom).

Oh God, collision between a Whatsit and a Fae, IMMINENT! Possibly in more ways than one.

Castela: "A DOLLY! A living DOLLY!!" Grabs Calista in a death hold. "I will name her GEORGE, and I will hug her and pet her and SQUEEZE her!!"

Calista: "ACK! THIRP!! Let go of me, kid, I cant... breathe..."

Nope, not gone to her head. After making an entrance as the all-powerful astral fire wielding demon shepherding Jaguar Girl, one ode not simple "poit" out of the scene. A dramatic exit was just as necessary as the dramatic entrance. The little Fae might not be capable of feeling empathy for the pain and damages done to others, but she certainly understands and comprehends superior firepower when she sees it.

Kind of like Old Testament "fear God and obey lest he smite thee" vs New Testament "love one another because it pleases God". the little Fae must first learn fear.
Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

Pickle knew that exit, now she'll be grumpy until she gets to either the Museum, or the Library after school.
