Yup, I sure did. I'm so used to using a 24 hour clock instead of Ante Meridian or Post Meridian that I automatically look at 08:00 at 08:00 in the morning rather than the evening. vOv Mea Culpa.

I think it's more to the point that the voters are split into two camps, each rooting for one major character. Using your down-vote on (e.g.) Shelly at this point, rather than on your favored character's opponent, works out to be almost the same as a vote against your favorite.
I held off voting against M as long as I could
but MerchManDan threw down the gauntlet and I sorta felt I had to counter in kind.

ME?! What'd I do? I certainly don't feel good about voting down Kath yesterday. (well, Saturday, now. Shoot.)
Anyhow, looks like I missed Sunday, so here's my vote for Monday:

I understand. I am not thrilled about down-voting Katherine either. I suspect that both ladies would be horrified at either being preferred to the other and would probably try to give the crown away to their friend.
Personally, I'd rather have a choice of two votes: two up-votes, one up-vote and one down-vote, or two down-votes. Another alternative is to have one vote (up or down) and proceed from there. Isn't democracy grand in Wapsi land?

If we change the voting rules again, at this late stage of the game, it'll feel like playing 52 Pick-Up at midnight in a tornado
And, of course, the sphinxes could show up, and override the results anyway.

"Starting at the very next time when the lowermost portion of the moon is visible over the third oak tree to the left of Houston (as viewed by a llama of average height standing atop that big ant-hill), every prime-numbered vote will divide both scores by the square root of negative zero, with every even-numbered vote being counted only if phonetically typed in formal Klingon as spoken by a tipsy Euryale."

No rule changes. End of this week, whomever is in the lead is the Queen of IC296.

You get the idea!
