Allergies are one of those common ailments that, along with seasickness, migraines, and pregnancy morning sickness, I've never personally had to deal with and hope never to have to (though I suppose that at least me getting pregnant might gain me some money on talk shows and circuses and the like). I can understand that they are quite unpleasant and inconvenient and can be a truly serious problem, though, and so allergy sufferers do have my sympathy.
I hope all of you are feeling better!

I guess this is where I should mention that, due to the really bad "Polar Vortex" winter we've had in the northern part of the Midwestern US (I'm about 2-3 hours east of MSP), they are predicting that this could be a really, really, REALLY bad pollen allergy season.
It might be normal for only four comics a week until next fall - unless Pablo wises up and adds bulk Claritin to his Amazon wish list...

Someone on the news was even goofy enough to refer to it as the Pollen Vortex. My sinuses changed the channel.jwhouk wrote:I guess this is where I should mention that, due to the really bad "Polar Vortex" winter we've had in the northern part of the Midwestern US (I'm about 2-3 hours east of MSP), they are predicting that this could be a really, really, REALLY bad pollen allergy season.

Well of course you can't breathe if you have a TV remote up your nose.kingklash wrote:My sinuses changed the channel.

If he doesn't have the storage space for remote controls that Atsali apparently has, then I suppose that he has to make do with what he does have.shadowinthelight wrote:Well of course you can't breathe if you have a TV remote up your nose.kingklash wrote:My sinuses changed the channel.

This made me chuckle, so I Googled "remote control up nose" but was disappointed. (well, until I found the pictures of RC LEGO trucks which are real friggin' neato)shadowinthelight wrote:Well of course you can't breathe if you have a TV remote up your nose.kingklash wrote:My sinuses changed the channel.
NO, the trucks are NOT up anyones nose.

How about Lego trains!?! More neato! Still too big for nostrils...MerchManDan wrote:This made me chuckle, so I Googled "remote control up nose" but was disappointed. Back in the day, some of the very early TV remote controls worked via ultrasonic sound, rather than IR or radio.shadowinthelight wrote:Well of course you can't breathe if you have a TV remote up your nose.kingklash wrote:My sinuses changed the channel.
So, I suppose that if you stuck a dog whistle up your nose, and then snorted and sneezed in the right sequence, you could control an old TV that way. Probably couldn't get it to show you anything other than Howdy Doody, or maybe the old Alcoa Presents show... John Newland and One Step Beyond. He'd have loved Monica and her friends... could've made up a whole season from just the CM epic.
