Tina's expression just says "There is so much about this whole situation that really can't end well."

But why scissors at the beach?

Personal 'pruning' instead of grooming for the grandcritter?
Considering her ability to unravel, might she carry shears (scissors) and other personal effects inside of her body, concealed by her humanoid form until she loosens up a bit to retrieve something?

Rule of funny.

I notice that Castela is shouting. Her behavior reminds me of my cat. When my cat does not get the attention she desires by being cute, she systematically begins doing things that she is not supposed to do until she get a reaction. Castela seems to be doing something similar.

Can you imagine the scene the first time on an airplane?
Though I suspect as a paranormal that won't happen until she can hold her shape for the entire trip, and understands the other rules for travel.

Also unnecessary as she has access to the library teleportation system. With adult supervision, of course.

maybe Tina and Pratt need to sit down for a talk as 2 beings that have spent their entire lives at the bottom of the food chain. Seems to be a theme of this get together.

I can't shake the feeling someone is dreaming... My dreams are like this... nothing makes sense, everything is counter to common sense... silly shit happens that wouldn't normally.
Still, last panel... EPIC.

Oh yeah... just what the little critter needs... a little time to 'unwind'...
Drops a sprig of ivy vine in the pun jar... just in case.

I think Castela got into the sugary snacks while no one was looking and couple that with it being past her bedtime and her possibly being tired, either something very bad or something hilarious is going to happen!

Funny, it's usually the teenagers that are invulnerable.

The last panel and Lilly's last comment about her adopted grandcritter having an air of omnipotence nay be more connected than it seems. What if the finding things in Atsali's
bra was an actual event and not just rule of funny?

So, you're saying that Paul is telling this part of the story in a "stream of unconsciousness" style?
Mmmmmm... could be!

"Air
of omnipotence"? That makes sense.
I was trying to figure out what "air omnipotence" could be referring to. I mean, Atsali's not the only one there who can fly, nor even (hah!) the mightiest ...
So yeah, I think there's a typo in that text, and your autocorrect served you well.

Tell me if I'm taking this too far...
How does Castela even eat? When she goes from unraveled to humanoid shape, does she shape internal organs as well? And if so, were she to unravel suddenly, shortly after having eaten, would the remains of whatever is yet to be digested fall to the ground? And if she does not shape internal organs, how does she process her food? I mean, it's obvious that she eats... So how?

Hey Folks,
I have forgotten who Lilli's child is and who her grandcritter would be. Can someone fill me in?

Lily was revealed (after the NuGui was trapped; too lazy to link) to be one of Kath's six mothers, so her (one sixth, adopted) grandcritters are Atsali and Castela.
As I first read "air", I thought the grandcritter in question was Atsali; now I'm leaning towards it being Castela.

Looks like Lily is in that horrible place where she hates being immortal but is afraid of it ending. She was sick to her stomach, fearing to be around those who could easily destroy her, and is unable to relax in their presence. Does she have any joy other than her work and her friend/fellow vampire Suzi?
May be she needs a sunshine enema from Tina?
