Well, occasionally at that one Starbucks right across from Joe Louis Arena.cmdrpowers wrote:Well, that's something you don't see everyday. A tentacle in a coffee shop. I'm sure sales will perk right up.
Or did the bathyscaphe?shadowinthelight wrote:So she did stay in the tub for a while?
The sewers. After the bath it felt drained. So it came to work. I could add it is now feeling flushed with satisfaction but I won't.DilyV wrote:And much is now a little clearer anyway... Tenty did stay at home... and Tina was almost assuredly affecting Monica and Atsali's perceptions...
Now... How the hell did Tenty get to the shop without being reported as the beast from 20,000 fathoms?
I'm still wondering if Stinky is related to Tenty.....zachariah wrote:The sewers. After the bath it felt drained. So it came to work. Deposits a bucket of clean water and soap in the jar.
Demons are apparently capable of playing quantum-mechanical tricks, such as being in two places at once regardless of how far apart those places are (per Shelly's comment to Conscience, and I think some discussions Monica had with demons earlier on). So, Tenty could have possibly have "tunneled" directly from Tina's apartment to Mucho Mocha, without ever occupying any of the locations in between.DilyV wrote:Now... The simple answer most people seem to be overlooking is that demons can't be seen by most people.DilyV wrote:Now... How the hell did Tenty get to the shop without being reported as the beast from 20,000 fathoms?
Quite so. And even if the wandering demon IS seen, the observer mentally refuses to acknowledge it's something out of the ordinary. People see/hear/etc only what they WANT to, particularly in the WapsiVerse.Siarles wrote:The simple answer most people seem to be overlooking is that demons can't be seen by most people.DilyV wrote:Now... If this were Looney Tunes, the Jaguar would be chasing the Siren who would be chasing the Tentacle. Paul has enough backgrounds to keep them in constant rotation as they run.Dave wrote:The tentacle-demon's reaction (hey, do we know what her name actually is?) makes perfect sense.
After all, large birds do eat large seafood creatures, from time to time.
The Sage of the Forest agrees with you.MerchManDan wrote: Quite so. And even if the wandering demon IS seen, the observer mentally refuses to acknowledge it's something out of the ordinary. People see/hear/etc only what they WANT to, particularly in the WapsiVerse.
