Aha! It's Lily who is being the earthy influence on our young Pickle, and not Katherine (this time).

With those two as adoptive mama and grandma, Castela is probably never going to lack for pithy phrases.

I'm glad that Atsali is trying to be a responsible big sister about the situation.

It;s family reunion time at the mall.

From the way they use Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, and the like. I expect a lot of people have become an extended family for these kids. Somehow I don't really see Lily in the role of kindly grandma who spoils the kids. She seems a lot more focused that that.

I'm drawing a blank here. Would someone refresh my brain on who Lilly is?

Between the stupidity of dealing with a end user, a lack of sleep, and the blunt force trauma of my banging my head against the desk after dealing with said user...

I'm just not finding that bit of data in my memory banks.

Lily Pratt, vampire, fairly new MiB agent, partner to Suzi McBride, (who jjust so happened to take care of Monica's assailant at the institution... and one of the six mothers who were separated from their children when her whole race got put into storage by the Director/Thup.

EDIT: I forgot, "mother" to Katherine (one-sixth anyway), and one of the last living Anasazi (sorta kinda... she IS a vampire...)

In one statement, Castela has confirmed that there has been some off-camera bonding between Lily and Kath, and enough of it in the kids' presence for Castela to have accurately grasped the concept of BS.

Yay! to whoever called it. "Aunt" Acacia definetly NOT your Stuffy Old Adult. Atsali really doing the Big Sister role pretty well and looking good doing it. Love the 'Go-Go' boots and her 15 trying to be 21 attitude and Fashion sense. Fortunatly Acacia will "take the helm" and steer her right. ........"Did any of that make sense? Indeed. This one comic has confirmed a lot of speculation. The family has bonded well. The Golems have taken on the roles of psudo-aunts. Oddly she calls Bud "Aunt" and Phix and Nudge "Tanta." Looking at definitions, she may be using Tanta to mean great-aunt. Even though Bud is quite old as well. So not sure where the line is drawn since none of them are actual relatives in the first place. Phix looks older, but Nudge, not so much.

I would guess this sort of shopping trip would be mostly for those supernaturals who can't transform or have a hard time doing so reliably. All the ones we know about can do it readily enough not to need such an outing to get what they want. Well, all except vine-girl. Of course it may also be that some might want to find clothes for their true form as well. The shops in the Paranor Mall (love that name) may have such wares in the back-back room. Phix can get the latest sphinx fashions. The ones that only cover the upper half, like cartoon characters wear, and have cutouts for the wings. I'll bet Monica could get some astral-fireproof clothes as well.

Or, it could be that Bud said, call me Aunt while Phix and(or?) Nudge chose to be called Tanta.

Perhaps "Tanta" is Pickle-speak for the ones that don't live in the Twin Cities, who don't interact with the girls on as regular a basis?
