Congratulations Paul!!!

It's been not quite a year since I found this webcomic and I've read through them all from the beginning... Monica and gang feel like family... I can't wait till the new strip posts, and weekends are murder.... I just can't get enough!

And if so, we will find all the heavy objects in the Pun Vault and throw them at you. Twice.

Times like this, I wish I could recall precisely when I began reading WS. Goes to show how much this comic has become a part of my day; I can't remember NOT reading it.
Well done, Mr. Taylor. Here's to 12 years more. *raises glass*

I think the one thing I miss from the early days is the eyes of the museum statues watching Monica at work while she's monologing. I would like to see that again.

We haven't seen the museum in a while. It would be a good place for Monica to listen to Katherine talk about her new family, too.

2010-01-04-your-precious-doorway was the first Wapsi Square I read. Jumping in at that point was a real WTF moment. I came to look because the comments on another web comic. I'm sure it was Questionable Content, but could never, at Paul's request, find the link that sent me there. (The comment said something about how Paul drew his ladies with variable sizes and shapes)
I immediately went back into the archives and read the run. And what a trip that was. I have never been captivated by a story like I have with Wapsi, no book, movie, television series. Not just in it's longevity, but in how I have come to care for the inhabitants of Paul's world. I feel like they are friends of mine and I actually care what happens to them in their lives.
My co-workers have learned that starting around 8am, midnight CWT(Central Wapsi Time), is not a good time to bother me with trivial things. Not until I've gotten my daily fix anyway. If it were to stop, I'd be a pretty grumpy bear during withdrawals. So, it'd be a good idea to keep it up for a while, won't you Paul?

It is a great work and I hope that it continues for a long time to come.

I had a terrible moment when the strip loaded.

"Is he done?! Was that it?! But, but what happens next!?"

Then I calmed down when I realised it was a anniversary strip.

Dang it. Damn near had a heart attack.

And thank you, Paul, for what you have created and shared with us.

I've only been onboard for a fraction of the twelve-year journey (just shy of two-and-a-half)... but wow, what a fine trip it's been! You had my rapt attention almost instantly... "I think... that I can go home now. How dare I forget! Maybe I do deserve to be left..." and then everything changed. I never will forget that passage.

It's a rare thing... characters that we find ourselves caring deeply about, facing challenges both darkly mysterious and richly human, in a world which resonates with our mundane human environment and with the depths of mythology and shadow that we somehow know lies just barely beyond our sight.

Wapsi Square is something very special indeed. I hope the avid interest of the fans hereabouts helps make it worthwhile... the speculations, the predictions, the analysis of the characters' possible motives, the amazing fan art, even the dreadful puns... they're all homages to the work that has us by the throat, and the heart, and sometimes the naughty bits too.

Bravo, Pablo. BRAVO! :!: :!: :!:

it's a cliche, I know... but what the hell. May you live long, and prosper.

Heh heh...That was my first thought as well, which makes having to wait 24 hours for the next step in the story bearable by comparison.

Thanks Paul, and Congratulations!

I started reading here back when Angst Technology was in full swing, and they had the old EZ boards that Paul was a member of. I peeked at his project(he was still working at his Photography studio back then), and was immediately hooked. So I guess I've been here for a good amount of it.
I've loved the progression of his art style, and love even more that he has not felt the need to go back through his archives and change it to reflect his current style(like I have seen some established artists do).
That he has been around for 12 years is a testament to his strong art and storytelling efforts. His characters are believable, with the art having an emotive quality about it that draws you into this incredible world he paints.

Thank you for Paul, 12 years, and ready to enjoy many many more.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

I honestly can't recall when i began reading WS; i sort of feel like it was shortly before the introduction of the GGGs...

I remember that ominous-looking page (which appears to be from Halloween, 2004):
