I love Kathy's line "The adventure isn't over." that kinda says it all doesn't it. Now we'll see if Kathy is up to the surprise that the deal includes more the Sali. My own take is that Kathy is up to it even if she is worried about taking the chance and letting others deep into her life. But she has to be assailed by fears and doubts at this moment. The tentative way she asked Sali is a strong indicator of that. It's a big step Kathy is trying to take.

If Pickle can't master a fully human form yet I'm afraid Kathrine will just have to settle for the occasional visitation, either at the orphanage or the Library.
If she can conjure a human form this can get real interesting.

Taken in context (yeah, weird for me too) they's wild griffon beebes. But they were so cute!
If a zoo let me hold one, I'd have to do a substitution grift with a stuffed toy.
I wouldn't be able to name her anything but Gilda.

How could Kath refuse such a cute little thing? Let's hope Pickle is as sweet as she seems and is not just gherkin us around.

Of course, if Bud, or someone can find a home for Castela, that could work out as well and relieve Atsali from her promise. Of course Kath's first question might be "you don't have a habit of eating raw fish do you?" Second; "can you fully morph into human shape, or are the horns detachable?" Maybe Nudge can give the tyke some lessons. If she can hide those horns, surely she can help Castela to hide hers.
