It was actually my idea. She just went along with it, and had her staff "vet" me out for it (laugh).

That's pretty much how Rocket got here - i said i wanted a black cat, and one of Kate's co-workers had a couple of kittens from a feral mother; i was actually happy to get a tuxedo kitten, actually, since Stitch is already an all-black cat.

Got a new picture of Rocket yesterday; at nine months or so, she's roughly the feline equivalent of Atsali:

What a cutie! Today, my apartment was a temporary home to a kitty, who belongs to a married couple I'm friends with. Their building was to be bug-bombed, so all pets and other dependents needed to be evacuated for several hours. Phoebe made herself at home pretty quickly, even going so far as to lounge on the back of my futon - one of her favoured napping stations, even in my friends' place. I should've taken pictures; it was adorable.

There was a young cat that wanted me to adopt her, one time actually managing to run between my legs and through the door to get inside my apartment. It was tempting to take her in when the neighbors moved and abandoned her behind but really she was too used to being outdoors. Another neighbor took her to the shelter instead.

She's getting tired of the pictures already.
