Great classic clip, but I'm not sure which one of the vampires really needs the sedagive?
How much sedagive would you dose a vampire with anyway? (they seem a bit robust)Dave wrote:Great classic clip, but I'm not sure which one of the vampires really needs the sedagive?
One thing that bothers me about that site is the non-permanency of images:Jabberwonky wrote:What about the little yellow frog? That's my secondary site...
So unless you subscribe to a premium plan (starts at $2/month), you have to make sure to look at all your images at least once a year, or they will be deleted!ImageShack FAQ wrote:How long will my uploaded files be available?
Your files will only be deleted if they do not adhere to our Terms of Service. If you are registered, your files will be available forever. If you are not registered, any file that you upload will continue to be available if it is accessed by anyone at least onc per year.
They entice you by saying it's free, but only further down the page do you see that if you don't want to lose your images, you really need to subscribe. What is ImageShack?
ImageShack is an intuitive and easy-to-use free media hosting service. It can be used to upload images and videos and share them with friends using any imaginable means.
Does ImageShack cost anything?
No, ImageShack is free.
How many files can I upload?
An ImageShack account grants you 5GB of free storage space. You can increase the storage space by signing up for premium service. For more details please visit our subscription page.
That's just it: they are NOT there indefinitely!jwhouk wrote:It costs nothing to register. Unless you have huge files, it's not an issue - and they're there indefinitely.
But then you'd have to figure out how a pair of arrows would make a "BAM! BAM!" sound.shadowinthelight wrote:Was thinking at work and realized I should have added arrows to the picture to get the joke across better.

Isn't that always the case? I think that's pretty much the base assumption...Jabberwonky wrote:TANSTAAFL - There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
Ditto.Jabberwonky wrote:I have, for years now, learned that when you see the word 'free', look for hidden cost.
It all depends on how many images you upload... If we're talking about images you create, then there is a limit to how much you create in how much time, so it can be manageable. On the other hand, if you start uploading all your digital camera photos, that can be a lot of photos to have to look at in one year, just to be sure they stay there...Jabberwonky wrote:The Image Shack free account is worth it, how hard is it to take a peek once a year?
For sharing a photo, here and there, on different forums, free Photobucket has been sufficient, for now. But I still have not decided which service to use, as a backup for my digital camera photos. With 23,868 photos, 595 folders, 57.4 GB, I'm guessing a free account won't be enough...Jabberwonky wrote:I haven't felt the need, size-wise or other wise to move up to the subscription level. Same with Photobucket, for my needs free is enough.
WIN!shadowinthelight wrote:No reason, just cuz.
This panel is begging for all sorts of captions so everyone can get the blank to play with here.
I already have a 3TBG external USB 3.0 drive, for backup purposes... but it's still in the same physical location... one good fire and it's just as gone as the computer... That's why it would still be nice to have some form of cloud backup for these images...Atomic wrote:Terabyte external hard drives are way cheap and work nicely. I have a 1TB Western Digital I use for major backups regularly. It's enough for several incremental layers as well. Some 16-32 Gig flash cards are nice to have around too.
