Someone wants a good kicking:

AZ A.G.: Teacher Prison Rape Her Fault

The Daily Beast wrote: The office of the Arizona Attorney General is asking for a dismissal of a lawsuit filed by the teacher who was viciously assaulted and raped when left alone and unguarded in a prison classroom with a convicted sex offender. The argument by the AG is basically that it’s the teacher’s fault as she should have been aware of the risk. “Plaintiff is an ADOC (Arizona Department of Corrections) employee who routinely worked at the prison complex," Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Weisbard wrote in his motion to dismiss. "By being placed in a classroom at the complex, the officers were not placing Plaintiff in any type of situation that she would not normally face. The risk of harm, including assault, always existed at a prison like Eyman."

Geotagged Tweets mentioning different musical genres since the Grammy nominations were announced, December 5, 2014

Big honkin' interactive map.

Waayyy too much orange, not nearly enough dark green, light green (or purple, for that matter).

Looks like this, but you can zoom in to street level anywhere:

The Daily Beast called my attention to an interesting site selling t-shirts, tote bags and other such tchotchkes that say "VYFK".

Well, SOME of them do.

Others say "Vaccinate Your F*ck*ng Kid", and the actual site name, being starless, is NSFW.

Manymany years ago, i missed out on buying an air-powered machine-pistol that used BBs and had a rate f fire of three thousand rounds a minute.  Couldn't afford the gun, wouldn't have been able to afford enough ammo to play with it properly.

THIS rascal is only $46.95, and uses table salt as ammo.

This is why you never, ever use makeup apps on babies

[quote name="Andy Boxall/DigitalTrends"]
While many of us may have probably used a beautify setting on a selfie, or a few effects to smooth out skin, did you know there are apps to show how we’d look wearing full makeup? We’re sure they’re very helpful, and as we’ll find out, technically quite impressive; but they’re not for everyone. Really.

Want proof? Meet Gabriel.

Image

He’s seven months old, and very cute indeed. Except his mom, Fiona, who goes by the name Unicornreality on photo sharing site Imgur, has ruined all that – and our sleep for the next few days. She used an app called YouCam Makeup to change him from a normal, sweet little boy, to a nightmare-inducing human/doll hybrid, as imagined by Ru Paul and Liza Minelli.

Image

Having gathered ourselves up after being taken aback by the, um, unusual looks created by the app; it’s interesting to note how impressive the results are. Give the pictures just a passing glance, and you could be fooled into thinking this is real make-up applied to poor Gabriel.

The photos have already prompted some copycat images to show up on Reddit, where various people have applied the same process to – what else – their cats.

Image

The results are odd, but not on the same level as baby Gabriel. One Reddit commenter portentously says, “I can see this becoming a sub-Reddit.” There’s something to look forward to.

The YouCam Makeup app is available for free on Android and iOS. Just don’t show us the results if you use it on your kid. One was quite enough.

So... if Conscience is correct, and RuPaul is actually Jesus... would this be the Archangel Gabriel?

If so... yes, I can see why the fundies would be upset. The apotropaic sphinxes would be upset. Phix would be greatly disturbed. So would the demons. And the immortal survivors of Lanthis. And just about everybody else, including the squirrels.

Now, where's that damned UNSEE button?
