The track doesn't have any vocals beyond a short, highly distorted loop that is barely recognizable as a human voice. No matter how many times I listened to it in the past I could never understand what it said. After updating the file and uploading the new copy to my phone I played it one more time over my computer speakers. As if by magic, my ears clicked and I was suddenly able to understand what that mysterious voice that had vexed me for so long was repeating over and over: "Bass Mekanik. Can u hear me? Bass Mekanik."

Aaah. Sounds like a modern riff on Smakenei's "Facepalm Oratorio".

Nice that you got a twofer out of your research... you now know what it's named, and what it says. Only, maybe that's really a onefer in this case.

I finally made a worthwhile contribution to academia. My post from another forum:

Slight threadjack of the threadjack already in progress: Why do you think it is that mathematics and puns go so well together? I have no empirical data to back it up, but it's always seemed to me that among the mathematically inclined there's an unusually strong tendency for punning. If you could manage to get funding for an actual study I bet there'd be a good shot at an IgNobel.

Don't need any funding, I did the calculations and came up with the answer.

m=13, a=1, t=20, h=8, e=5, m=13, a=1, t=20, i=9, c=3, s=19
13+1+20+8+5+13+1+20+9+3+19=112

h=8, i=9, l=12, a=1, r=18, i=9, o=15, u=21, s=19
8+9+12+1+18+9+15+21+19=112

Since mathematics = hilarious and puns are hilarious then logically mathematics = puns.

The "Eisenhower Tree" on the 17th fairway at Augusta National had to be taken down after an ice storm in February this year.

Today's Tank McNamara pays tribute to the iconic tree, named for President Eisenhower, who tried to get it taken down because it interfered with his drives.

Not long after being re-elected in 1956 as President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower left Washington, D.C., for a 2½-week visit to Augusta National, where he had been a member since 1948. Eisenhower certainly spent the time working — as president, he conducted business in an office above the club’s pro shop — but also squeezed in some golf most days.

On Dec. 8, 1956, Eisenhower attended the club’s board of governors meeting, and used the opportunity to make a formal request: He wanted the tall, loblolly pine that was just to the left of the 17th fairway and some 200 yards from the 17th tee chopped down. It seems the tree kept getting in the way and knocking down many of Eisenhower’s drives.

After hearing President Eisenhower’s plea, Clifford Roberts made a quick, firm decision. Roberts, who was the longtime chairman of Augusta National and a co-founder of the club along with Bobby Jones, had the meeting immediately adjourned.
