FF, you're a great guy and funny and all, but no. That isn't the best version. That's almost as slow as Revolution #2 (from the White Album).
Part of why i like it.

Their version of "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" is the only cover i've ever heard that approaches Richard Thompson's original.
And since their instrumental lineup is the same as the "Full House" period Fairport Convention (two guitars, bass, fiddle and drums), it's fun to speculate on what it might have sounded like if that version of FC had done it.

Don't get her started on the 1812 Overture. She'd probably insist that her air-guitar version needed real cannons... or something bigger... like another volcanic nuclear kablooey in the desert, or perhaps several of them.
Ever hear the Portsmouth Sinfonia version? Not to be missed, never to be forgotten. Not even with copious quantities of strong drink.
I have listened to many versions, but this was the all time best I could find out of my father's collection... by the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra, Eugene Ormandy Conducting.
My favorite heavy metal band is Van Canto. They are unusual in that they don't use guitars. Or keyboards. Or strings. Or, I don't know, theremins.
They have a drummer, and five vocalists.
Now listen to this, and try to tell me they aren't metal. Just try.
BTW, my mother, who knows about such things, tells me that the drummer does not necessarily disqualify them from being a Capella, because most drums have no pitch.

Any Metal players/bands out there? I've got some Lyrics for you. Might work for a (very) angry Folk artist, too.

thanks for the link, they really are pretty good. I'm going to send this to one of my friends that's a TOTAL Metal-head. i think she'd like them too... that is, if she doesn't ALREADY know about them...

Not precisely metal (as currently defined), but definitely one of its sources. Covered by The Bobs.
Check out the guitar solo at 2:15 or so.
So what if it's the solo from a Beatles song? Clapton played it...
