Dunno about that, but GM was part of a major criminal conspiracy along about then - well, a few years later.

It's funny, I'm seeing initial Google references to both 1939 AND 1950... (of course I haven't delved very deep yet, but funny that.)

There were apparently rebuilds or something - the one that just sold at auction is titled as a 1953.

The picture of them all in a convoy is from the 1951 "Parade of Progress" - once i get done beating up Kaspersky Scan and i can actually use the computer again, i'll post it.

It's rather a Social Contract situation; there are things you just don't push in people's faces, uninvited, and your 'privates' are one of them.

This is a many-faced situation, I keep thinking there where people who would think they where 'benefited' as there where folks who where 'harmed'.

It's a 1939 GM "Futurliner", that just sold for four million frogskins at auction.  One of only twelve built, of which nine survive and three - including this one - are running.
 
The article at Yahoo is a little muddled as to what the bus has sold for in the past, and there may be more info available somewhere else (i'll keep an eye out).

Well, when it comes to the question of Official Definitions of the Naughty... some years ago I heard/read an excellent tongue-in-cheek discussion (I can no longer remember the author, alas... Dave Barry or Robert Klein?) about the "missionary position". Just how would a bunch of (clearly straightlaced) missionaries go about communicating the Do's and Don't of sexual positions and athleticism to their new congregations in whatever countries they were uplifing/invading/saving/exploiting?

The mind sorta boggles. "You must do this... and not this... and never EVER do this!" Did they have the equivalent of graphic novels to assist the non-literate? Did all missionaries use the same standard definition?
