I hope they arranged (with the consent of the dog-show people) to have some fun with that.
"Yay, I won honourary 'Best in Show' at the dog show!"

"Your dog did?"

"No, I did!"

My first thought also. But then, I've heard of some of the hijinx that goes on at conventions. I could have been someone having a brain fart in a mechanical room...

...oy. Anyhow, I'm glad to see almost all of those affected were released from the hospital quickly, without lasting effects.
Maybe a fur suit head makes for a fair impromptu gas mask...

That would explain how some of them put up with the scent of each other in a "Yiffy Fur pile". (Yes, I know it is a small subgroup that do that and not the general population of fursuiters (I don't want to piss off the furries in the forum)).

From the article: "The source of the gas was apparently chlorine powder left in a ninth-floor stairwell at the hotel, according to the Rosemont Public Safety Department. Investigators believe the gas was created intentionally and are treating it as a criminal matter." Also, the hotel doesn't seem to have a pool.

Were they at least spayed/neutered before being released?

*I actually don't have any problem with furries or their activities, the jokes are just too easy.

So i brought Maggie home from school (Natalie was sick today), and i was sitting in the car with the door open, reading, because it's a pleasant, sunny day.

And i felt a Ker-Thumpity sort of feeling, and i looked down...

So, does that "Push on/off" pedal control the purr generator?

No, the purr generator controls itself.

Hmmm... You could be on to something here, a self-cleaning floor mat. :D

I was reading one of those random lists, 8 Weird Animals You Didn’t Know Exist. Of course I knew the first one. I've loved the goblin shark ever since I saw it in a book about sharks I repeatedly checked out from the elementary school library.

I have always had a high tolerance for pictures of spiders, bugs, microscopic creepy crawlies and such. Cockroaches are absolutely revolting in real life but seeing pictures of them has never bothered me. Number five on that list however is the giant isopod. For some reason I can't completely put my finger on it absolutely creeps/squicks me the &@%$ out. Seriously, what kind of unholy eldritch abomination is that?

"Yesterday, when i was young..."

Whole LOTTA yesterdays - thirty years or more worth. My sister just came across this one and sent it to me.

Has to be 1973 or Very Late '72 (judging by the hair), or early '74 (that Pen FT was stolen in a burglary in '74).

(I shot that one in a mirror, apparently - this is flipped to show true right/left)
