Tricky.
Indeed. And I hadn't thought of any of those... She really does have a bullseye painted on her, doesn't she...

Hint: one might be quite justified in putting double quotes (air quotes, in speech), around "fast and furious", or even "attacked"...
Hint #2: no harm came to any of the participants.

I would say that this execution counts as "fast and furious reprisal", against the Tar which raped Monica immediately after Monica's entry into Georgette's quantum demon-space. Rape certainly qualifies as an attack.

Wow... She really DOES have a bullseye painted on her...

That is, indeed, an attack and an unequivocal reprisal. It is not, however, the one I was looking for. I now see that my question was much, much too vague. Sidhekin's answers were interesting, but I have to admit that Dave's answer is more closely linked to the parameters of the vague question I posted, even if it does not fit with the hints I later gave.

I'll give one last hint. If the one I am looking for does not show up, I will choose among the answers provided at that point.

/lake_wrangler wrote:Hint: one might be quite justified in putting double quotes (air quotes, in speech), around "fast and furious", or even "attacked"...
Hint #2: no harm came to any of the participants.
Hint #3: Monica got ganged-up on, in that particular "attack"
Yet, even that hint can bring up more than one occurrence... So I'll give another one, too:
Hint #4: in retrospect, it was probably a little silly of me to expect such a vague question to get the answer I wanted...

Would it be the silly string attack and feathery retaliation?

ETA: That actually was one of the "other instances I could mention". Just didn't seem very furious. I mean, she was drunk, so she wasn't friggin' pissed ...

Sure fits your hints though. 8-)

Yes, that was the one I was looking for. 8-)

I just didn't realize how ambiguous my question had been, and I forgot just how many other attacks there had been on Monica...

That, and if I had made sure the question was seen as tongue-in-cheek, it might have been too direct a hint... Then I added the hint about double-quoting the terms, but it apparently wasn't quite enough...

At least I take comfort in the fact that I'm not the first one to ask a question that elicits several answers other than the one sought after...

I'll just go hide myself in shame, now...

The funny part is that the third hint by itself, without the fourth hint, might have brought up this sequence of comics:

http://wapsisquare.com/comic/bestthingtoeverhappen/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/spillitslappy/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/walkthatdog/

Well, Phix ripped Monica's face off, and was immediately (qualifies as "fast") furious with herself as well as in much anguish.

(Monica, being Monica, got over it.)

And Monica was subsequently furious at Phix for behaving so "rudely", and for not listening to her while she was trying to talk to her, and punched her in the jaw...

Meanwhile, we are now waiting for Sidhekin's question...

Okay, I just got out of bed, so have a quick one:

Q: Who truly rule the world?

"Even bigger idiots" come to mind... can't think of another specific mention of this topic.

Mhm ... nope. "Potentially" running "something larger and beyond us" is not the same as truly ruling the world. 8-)

Personal assistants, as mentioned by Amanda, on her way to the lady firefighters photo shoot at the beach, about her own personal assistant, a little guy, who was taking care of so many details.

Oddly enough, spoken by the same person as in Dave's link... Maybe she knows something we don't...

(Looking for link, now...)

Edit: found it!

Indeed. If you haven't already found the link: "Funny. I pay him to tell me what to do. Personal assistants truly rule the world."

Your question, then.

You beat me with your link by 4 minutes, but as I was busy looking, I didn't refresh the page to see your post...

Q: One of the characters in the cast reminds me of Marcie, from Peanuts. Who could it be, and why?

Hey, I can't help if I've read the same comics as you. 8-)

Q: I don't think we've ever seen a griffin or gryphon in WS. But we've heard both names. When?

ETA: For extra credit, cite two independent uses of "gryphon". 8-)

"Griffins" here and "gryphon" here.

I'll have to pass on the extra credit. :(

I woulda said "A hockey team in western Michigan", but they're the Griffins, not the Gryphons.
