I've always wondered why people think that the best chocolate and candy is made in countries where neither chocolate nor sugar cane can grow. Sugar beets, yes, but not cane.

Yes, he did.

Serves me right for being busy and distracted; I was wearing my Conehead costume to a party in the Sandwich Islands.

This
YouTube video on epic design fails had me laughing the whole way through. I did have to pause it at times, to fully catch what was going on in certain photos, though.

The American Poutine Company of Gilbert... oh. My. GOD.
Bacon poutine that tastes like you just got it off a truck in Ottawa (which you kinda do, since the brick-and-mortar is the home base for their poutine trucks).

As a poutine connoisseur, while the sauce may look a little thick, this certainly does have the looks of a great poutine!
(Even down to the fries, which look to have the right texture...)

The last time I had poutine was over a decade ago. Possibly -two- decades ago. It's not worth trying to get in Houston, and when I'm in Ottawa, there's really no place to get it near where I would stay. Chip wagons, yes, but not poutine.

I did a Quick Google Search to re-certify my understanding of it's ingredients and
Surprise!, Surprise! the map shows at least THREE different places within 5 miles of Base Camp. (One's a Curry Joint.

)
I'm-a gonna have-ta try this out.

The problem here is that the two or three places in town that sell a 'poutine' are those excessively la-de-dah pretentious joints who really don't understand that poutine isn't supposed to be gourmet ANYTHING. it's fries and cheese curd gravy.

That's what's good about the place where I got the poutine - it "gets" it about what poutine is, but it's classy enough to fit in to urban Gilbert. I mean, it's in the same strip mall as a Target and a Ross Dress for Less.

Now that's some fine dining, there.
