OK I'm showing my age here, but I enjoyed watching them in first run from the time they were a summer replacement series on CBS through when they were a syndicated program shown in "Family Access Time".
So did my father... he watched a lot of older shows in reruns... Hee Haw, Star Trek (the original series), Mission Impossible...

I'm to young to have seen Star Trek in it's original run, but I did see the original run of the animated Star Trek series. I did see a lot of the Hee Haw. Dad loved it. I didn't care much for the music at that age, but as a kid, I love the horribly corny jokes and skits. I still have a touch of nostalgia for it, which I haven't ruined by seeking it out and watching it.
Roy Clarkwas slumming it a bit to do the show. The man is a
guitar wizard. And country isn't the only thing he can do. Try
Roy Clark meets Motorhead.

And the other said "How did ten of them ever get in that one car?"
Sadly, that one flew over my head like a soarin' Siren.

Help?
If memory serves, a Minon is ten men gathered as witnesses for certain jewish rites.

Gloom, dispair and agony on me...
Deep dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
Gloom, dispair and agony on me!
(Thanks too my father and all his Hee Haw reruns when I was little for that little gem... RIP Dad)
Good on your Dad.
Second only to the "Where, oh where are you tonight?"
song.
Both parents were 'Yee Haw' fans...
"Where Oh Where Are You Tonight" was about their mule. It refereed to the Hee-Haw cartoon mule who kicked the traces and ran away. If the show ran today the ALCU, NAACP, and every other civil rights group would have them in court the next day. lol. Back then it was funny.
Well, sometimes the mule, but mostly not...
I miss you so much, the taters need diggin'
The corn in the field, it needs pickin' too
How well I remember the first time I met you
You looked so purdy a-pullin' that plow.
(chorus)
You took off your leg, your wig and your glass eye
And you should've seen the look on my face
I wanted to kiss, I wanted to hug you
But you were scattered all over the place
(chorus)
but other times obviously not

Like a few others, I remember watching (and loving) the original Hee Haw. Ah, memories...

I have a strange feeling I know who saved Katherine... and I don't think she'll be too upset that Kath kicked Atsali in the pooter.
Think about it... Atsali tried to keep Katherine from meeting with Phix... Why?

She's a Siren... would not a call like that be heard?

Good call, assuming "Mommy" could hear Atsali from that location from wherever she is (back in the library?) and can get to them that fast. Well, I guess we'll see in the upcoming pages. (I, myself, was leaning in the direction of the Thunderbird due to the region... but what do I know?)

I never thought of the mule; I always assumed it referred to the singer's "true love" who ran off--hence a wife.

There's a minion of the law!

Sadly, that one flew over my head like a soarin' Siren.

Help?
minion = quantity
As if a "flock of geese" always referred to 15, so 30 of them would be "two flocks".

"Minyan"= Jewish religious quorum = ten adult males.
Though i hear it's rather less strict, latterly, allowing women to count, in other than Orthodox Judaism.

Awww, man. You start letting them count and next thing you know, they'll want to vote...
