I outlined a story line for another webcomic where one female character griped about wanting to have another female character's baby . . . which got the healer to thinking . . . and it turned out to be possible.

Naturally the baby was female.

And naturally there were unintended consequences . . .


OTOH, it could be Nadette that winds up pregnant . . .

I've always been a bit curious as to how all of these seemingly separate species can interbreed and produce fertile offspring... And the best I've come up with so far are these theories:

1) a lot of these paraspecies are actually subspecies of humans. Homo sirenes, Homo incubos, Homo sphinges, et cetera.

2) Something made things that way.

3) A different possible, theoretical Something that the ParaSociety might be hiding from, among the humans.

(Discussed in an earlier thread, I can't remember where... Basically, why are the para's hiding? Are they hiding from the humans, or using the humans as camouflage to hide from Something else?)

So... ParaSociety altered itself collectively to better hide among the humans?

4) A wizard did it, and Paul just wants me to shut up and enjoy the story

There's plenty of anecdotal evidence, from Greek myth, that with proper seductive skills many species can interbreed. And there's plenty of old Greek Gods wandering the Wapsiverse for that to be cannon...

About half of Greek mythology can be summarized in three steps:
1) Zeus can't keep his toga on
2) Hera objects
3) Hilarity ensues... that is, unless you're the other party involved in step 1, or the result thereof.

Is it just me, or do a lot of Greek myths seem like a supernatural sitcom?

Long running sagas were what they did before they invented books. If you remember that Homer was sitting down to tell an epic tale to entertain people, you understand why parts of the Odyssey and the Iliad sound the way they do.

while her genetic code allows for the malleable shapes that we've seen the twins exhibit so far onscreen (balloon animal, etc...), unless she can change her GENETICS... then i'm going to bet that even though she can LOOK Male, she will STILL be GENETICALLY FEmale... and impossible to get Atsali pregnant... so that's why Katherine isn't worried about Nadette n' Atsali getting Freaky in the Fort...

Actually, assuming that a male ursamorph could get Atsali pregnant (And since she's a siren/incubus, I think it likely) Nadette should be able to do the same . . .

However, since Nadette is not likely to be carrying a Y chromosome, the baby would be female.

And, of course, Atsali may be able to do the same to Nadette . . . I wonder what Cutietail's abilities are?
