Here is what works for me;

Go back one day further (Previous button), then near the top of the page click the 'Home' button. takes me to the recent day's entry, even when there isn't a 'Next' button that isn't grey'd out.

You can also use the RSS link on the bar that Monica is sitting on at the top of the page to go to http://wapsisquare.com/feed/... the RSS frequently updates before the page proper.
