Castela would love to see that!
Ummm...I have no idea what you mean by that... I even tried the Wikipedia disambiguation page... Care to explain?

EDIT: I just tried TV Tropes. I used ctl-F to avoid a tab explosion, but still ended up with ten tabs. That site is the black hole of the Internet.
Sorry, what I meant was, as in Disney's 'The Little Mermaid', human in appearance except for the tail.
The mermaid shown in the last couple of strips has visible neck gills and scaled arms.

You mean like if someone tried to RoundupĀ® Castela?
Yeah, trying to use weed killer on the cute little prickly plant would cause something much worse than what happened to the tar. . .just sayin.
It would be as bad as throwing acid over a pretty girl ... definite jail for possible murder... :x

I think that wasn't techinically a mermaid back in the mall.

We have many aquatic Para's around of many aesthetic varieties most likely. There are some who would call Sirens Mermaids too after all. (or any "mer-folk" like how some people refer to physical supernatural beings as "fey folk" ) Here there seems to be a particular difference

What would be funny is if that innocent bystander that commented about Acacia's name was Jessie's mom...

"After-school special moment" - personally, i would have said "Hallmark moment", but perhaps Paul is too young to remember those ads, or perhaps he didn't want to take chances on Halmark's lawyers' sense of humour.

Isn't "Lawyers Sense of Humour" an oxymoron?

Q: What's the biggest problem with lawyer jokes?
A: Lawyers don't think they're funny and nobody else thinks they're jokes.

That's all I have to say about the subject.
The Rule of St. Benedict speaks of "when one shall have advanced in this manner of life and in faith, he shall run with his heart enlarged and with an unspeakable sweetness of love on the way of God's commandments." (Prologue) -- it's a metaphor, just as the heart is a metaphor for the seat of emotions.
