Right away, I knew where to look:*
When Amanda learned that Monica's cholesterol level was
192 (a recent question, here), she went over to start Monica on some exercise. She was amazed that Monica still had her old
bike from her college days, which which Amanda refused to be seen in public. So she tried talking Monica into buying a new one, saying that she would look hot on a new road bike.
Monica:
But those things are built for speed... and I'm not.
They did go to the bicycle store, where she ended up paying
$1556.85 for a bike and some assorted gear. (Another previous question here...)
*It actually took me more time to compose this post than to find the answer...

Let's talk breakfast:
Q: Over the run of the comic, we have seen several instances where breakfast is either mentioned, seen, or at the very least, even if we don't see the actual breakfast, the scene takes place at breakfast. I can think of at least 5, maybe 6, though there may be more. What instances are those?
Please note: there is one in particular that is a little bit unusual. I expect to see it mentioned, in order for the answer to be counted as right.
Please note, again: I may or may not have seen a sixth one, which I can't remember right now. But at the very least, I want 5 instances.
Please note, furthermore: if you find instances other than the ones I am thinking of, as long as they are linked, they will be accepted. But point number one still remains, though.

What are you talking about, "five or six"?
I count
14.
- Technically M and Atsali were apparently at Tina's in the AM: 2014-01-17-free-after-work
- Another technicality, if you think that there's not just coffee in those cups Lily is holding: 2012-12-14-now-what
- Tina spoke of getting "breakfast at the shop (SCONES!)" here: 2012-04-04-do-the-eyes
- Justin talks to Shelly as he's getting breakfast out from the cupboard: 2012-03-21-early-bird
- Brandi's making pancakes! 2012-01-18-no-teasing
- Justin's getting ready to go face the guys at the station as Shel is having some coffee: 2010-05-25-talked-to-me
- Someone WANTED breakfast - but there was nothing in his bowl: 2010-04-14-bright-idea
- Mom made breakfast for her Muffin Crumb: 2010-03-22-gone-to-explore
- Bud has some breakfast in this strip: 2007-11-12-flattentheearth
- Selenium gets breakfast (and a name): 2007-05-01-eggsinstead
- Brandi was reading a book over breakfast... and that led to a LOT of things happening: 2006-11-07-cuneiformbooks
- Brandi made coffee the night after Monica's first visit to the Cerberus Club: 2006-01-24-loudpurring
- You are what you eat! (And it's that one guy that used to be in the strip... Owen?): 2005-02-18
- It's not Tepoz's job to make breakfast (which led to a LOT of other things happening): 2004-11-03

I did say: “I can think of at least 5, maybe 6, though there may be more,” didn't I? Yes, I believe I did.
I mentioned only remembering 5 or 6, because I had not been looking for them specifically, while reading through the archive, in the past... But I knew there were more that were borderline, as well…

Well, color me impressed! And flattered! (That you took the time to compile such an impressive list, as an answer to my question…)
Now, let’s break it down:
Actual breakfast seen or mentioned, part of my list.
- Someone WANTED breakfast - but there was nothing in his bowl: 2010-04-14-bright-idea
Glad you got that one. That was the “unusual” one I had mentioned in my note #1. Too bad it ended with his breakfast being what it ended up being… Check.
- Mom made breakfast for her Muffin Crumb: 2010-03-22-gone-to-explore
Morning. Check. Breakfast food. Check.
- Technically M and Atsali were apparently at Tina's in the AM: 2014-01-17-free-after-work
this one was going to be classified as "Merely coffee, in the AM", but, once Tina's last demon is back in, she does figure out what they want, and it includes a cinnamon roll, as Atsali's tummy is about to growl in a minute. This is the sixth one I was thinking about, though in vague terms only, could not remember the specifics other than being at Mucho Mocha, and some form of pastry being mentioned that would end up serving as breakfast.
Actual breakfast seen or mentioned, not in my list:
- Tina spoke of getting "breakfast at the shop (SCONES!)" here: 2012-04-04-do-the-eyes
Breakfast mentioned. Check.
- Brandi's making pancakes! 2012-01-18-no-teasing
Morning. Pancakes. Breakfast seen. Check.
- Bud has some breakfast in this strip: 2007-11-12-flattentheearth
Morning. Check. Food present, presumably breakfast. Check.
- Selenium gets breakfast (and a name): 2007-05-01-eggsinstead
Breakfast mentioned and seen, both feline and human types. Check.
- You are what you eat! (And it's that one guy that used to be in the strip... Owen?): 2005-02-18
Morning, food. Counts as breakfast. Check.
- It's not Tepoz's job to make breakfast (which led to a LOT of other things happening): 2004-11-03
Breakfast mentioned by name and by specific food item. Check.
Coffee (or tea) in a morning, in a somewhat breakfast-y atmosphere, part of my list:
- Justin talks to Shelly as he's getting breakfast out from the cupboard: 2012-03-21-early-bird
While I didn’t actually interpret it as getting breakfast out of the cupboard, it did have a breakfast-type feeling to it. Check.
In fact, now that I look at it again, along with the next day's comic, I see that he was reaching for a mug, for his coffee, which Shelly had made for him.
Coffee (or tea) in a morning, in a somewhat breakfast-y atmosphere, not in my list:
- Justin's getting ready to go face the guys at the station as Shel is having some coffee: 2010-05-25-talked-to-me
No breakfast seen, other than coffee, but in the morning, with a first meal of the day feeling to it. OK. Check.
- Brandi made coffee the night after Monica's first visit to the Cerberus Club: 2006-01-24-loudpurring
Merely coffee in the AM, not in my list:
- Another technicality, if you think that there's not just coffee in those cups Lily is holding: 2012-12-14-now-what
I personally think it is indeed, only coffee. YMMV.
- Brandi was reading a book over breakfast... and that led to a LOT of things happening: 2006-11-07-cuneiformbooks
Technically, over coffee, not specifically over breakfast.
While Monica is having coffee, and it is morning, I’m not too sure this counts as breakfast…
And yet, in spite of this level of thoroughness,
you missed 2! But that's OK: I'll ask specifically about those two later on. Meanwhile, you did get Dietzel waking up Monica in order to get food. I definitely wanted to see that one mentioned...
You're good to go!

I'll go with a simple one for this question:
"When was Bia's first unofficial appearance in the strip?"

I'm looking for the link, but I believe it was during one of Bud's nightmares (either that, or the girls were retelling Monica how the Chimera destroyed everything). On that page, though I forget the order, we see the Chimera approaching, and we also see a house, and a girl coming out of the front door (Bia), with a panicked look on her face in the next panel as the Chimera destroys the land.
This was much before the bit where we see Bia's interaction with Charon, where we find out there were two subsequent walls of fire, the first was having happened just before we see the scene (Bia was hiding behind a rock)), and the second one we see Bia see, and Charon takes the brunt of it, and it leaves a reverse shadow where Bia stands. He then takes her away to a safer place, and talks about the prophecy. But this nightmare of Bud's (or the girls talking to Monica) takes place before that scene, in the comics.

Found it!
At least, I
think that's the first time we see Bia, uncredited.

LW, The little girl in Bud's dream is reduced to ions, so I don't think that the dream girl is Bia. Now the dream may be caused by Bia, but I don't think that it is Bia. Please note that there is no sign of the glyph associated with Bia in the dream.
Try looking at Shelly's memories of her mother. That may be our first glimpse of her before we even know she is anyone other than Shelly's mom.

Well, I think that would be
brushing and braiding Shelly's hair. I think.
First mention, sans appearance, was
the haircut. I think.
Now, whether those are
unofficial, though ...

According to Bud, it is...
As far as the glyph goes, you will notice the same thing happen to characters as they evolve from the time they are first introduced, and the art style changes as well, over time. For instance, Shelly used to have noodle arms, but now her arms are quite buff. Tina didn't have fangs and swirly eyes until her third appearance, etc.

I didn't even think of Shelly's mom... I know she is, but it didn't register at the time of the question. At least, I'm fairly confident I have the first Bia-as-a-young-girl appearance...

Q:
On which (at least three) occasions have various characters expressed a fondness for the smell of various kinds of trees?
ETA: I expect one of those to be low-hanging fruit to you folks. The other two ... well, they serve as examples of how the existence of the WSTQ has affected what I notice when browsing the archives ...

I'm guessing that this one is the low hanging fruit... I just didn't realize it was until I saw its title in the archive list, as I was looking for that scene. I knew the scene existed, and I was looking for it, poking here and there in the archives around the right time (after the calendar, but before Shellinx), and there it was:
Jin:
My home was vaporized and the surrounding land was glazed with a layer of glass. But before that, it had a nice cozy smell of pine wood.
Meanwhile, I should have been in bed hours ago... Good night!

Yeah, that's the low-hanging fruit. And not just because of the title.

Time for a hint? The other two instances, unlike the first, are found in thought-balloon monologues and refer to the smell of trees no longer on root.

While the second one fits the hint, the first one is neither a fondness for the smell of any kind of tree, nor is it seen in a thought bubble...
On the other hand,
Shelly going through her wardrobe and thinking she absolutely loves the smell of cedar does fit the hint.

Yep; Jin and Shelly have expressed fondness for pines, real (Christmas) trees, and cedar.
I had indeed forgotten the blackthorn smell (or is it daughter-of-blackthorn smell? and is blackthorn a tree or a shrub?), but at least on that occasion, no fondness was expressed. (Let me wake up properly, and I'll check if there's more later on.)
Another team effort, then. Though LW had two of the three, and brought the task to completion, so if we have to pick one ...
Your question, lake_wrangler?

Woohoo!
OK.
Q: I can think of 5 instances, during the run of this comic, where Monica hurt her boobs, whether through her own actions or the actions of someone else. What instances are those?
(I'm pretty sure there are no more than 5, but I am willing to be surprised by your answers, provided conclusively corroborating links are provided.)
