There are or were hovercraft ferry services (maybe just one?) in Canada - one is featured in Jackie Chan's "Rumble in the Bronx" which was filmed in Vancouver.

I think that's the one where Jackie spent a good part of the movie wearing a cast that was painted to look like a Chuck (or whatever tennis shoe) because he broke his ankle near the beginning of the shoot...

The jump between buildings where he lands on the fire escape a floor down...

For Jackie Chan fans - are you aware of Terence Hill?

Hill's an Italian who, through the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties did a lot of comedy action, mostly with "Bus Spencer" ("Spencer" is in quotes, because it's not his legal name - Hill legally changed his).

Hill did all or most of his own stunts; he is a hoot to watch.

The ones most people are likely to know would be the "Trinity" films, or maybe "My Name is Nobody", a comedy-Western in which he starred with Henry Fonda, which was not directed by Sergio Leone, no matter what my friends who were on the set in New Orleans say.

He and Jackie remind me of each other.

In Crime Busters Hill and Spencer set out to rob a grocery store and wind up Miami cops. (It's actually sort of logical.)

Filmed in Miami, the film is at least as realistic as the average spaghetti Western.

Punks are harassing a lunch counter run by Spencer's old buddy.

The grand finale. Have you ever considered how much mayhem you can perform using implements found in a bowling alley?

Motorcycle fight in "Watch out, We're Mad". Spanish/Italian co-production, filmed in Spain. Hill's girl in this one graduated high school a year or two ahead of me in Greenville SC and moved to Spain and went into movies.

Those two were my favorites, when I was growing up. One might even go as far as to say that Bud Spencer was my idol... I just loved how people would try to hit him with stuff from behind, and it never phased him...

Oddly enough, some people in recent years have said I reminded them of Bud Spencer... :D

Before he got into film, Spencer was an Olympic swimmer.

{Actually, Natalie's eyes usually light up brighter than that.  When i'm making prints for the family, i almost always have to take the redeye out of Natalie's eyes, but often, even in the same picture, Maggie doesn't really have any.}

I'm not sure what I got on me today, but for whatever reason any and all scar tissue on my arms has turned all shiny and sparkly. I half expect to be mobbed by Stephenie Meyer fans when I go outside in the sunlight.

Joining the glitterati? That might suggest that you have been overexposed to celebrities recently.

Okay, I don't like Twilight either. And I had to work the midnight release party at a bookstore. *twitch* The horror...
But, had to share this.
