Well, I guess I get to ask a question again...
Q: What were the first three compliments paid to Katherine?

Oh come ON, that was a whole freakin' MONTH ago!
And ah-ah-ah! The "first unofficial POIT" question has yet to be answered!
And besides:
1. "You have lovely eyes. They are even brighter when you smile!" (2003-10-01)
2. "You have beautiful hair. Brush your hand through it once." (2003-10-03)
3. "What's a nice girl like you doing playing with spiders?" (2003-11-17)

Yes, so? It still was your post... You mean, you don't have a system in place to keep track of questions that have already been asked, be they yours, or anyone's?
Well. I. Never.
(That is, "Well, I never... did put one in, myself, either"...)
jwhouk wrote:And ah-ah-ah! The "first unofficial POIT" question has yet to be answered!
Chronogical process for finding the answer:
First, go to my
Kukulkan answer, and work backwards.
Notice several instances of Monica talking with someone else, and Tepoz being there either in the next panel, or the next strip, once the person Monica was talking to left. Like these:
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/07142003/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/07042003/
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/11132002/
But I assumed he was simply out of view/hiding while she was talking, just like
here, and it didn't count.
Then I found it:
Tepoz poited, with the snap of a finger, the pulque into Monica's stomach!
I still can't believe how many times I'll see a strip, yet not register that it is the very strip that contains the answer to someone's question...

Ah! I knew there were four, but I couldn't remember the fourth one... your second answer is the one I couldn't remember, saw again even tonight, while looking for something else, yet didn't register as a compliment to Katherine... The fourth one is this:
Monica thinking: She looks like a little girl who got into her mom's makeup. Just be honest with her.
Monica says:
Sweetie, you look adorable!
Monica thinking: And I wasn't lying.
Your answer is indeed correct. In fact, had I answered, I would have answered wrong, since I would have skipped the second compliment and included the fourth, instead... Congrats!

Yeah alright, fine... Fine! Fine.
Fine!!
The first unofficial poit was when Tepoz was first released, and Monica tried to ignore him as a delusion, the "result of work induced stress." To get her attention, Tepoz poited a glass of beer next to Monica.
PLOOP indeed...
I now have a confession to make: I have seen that strip many times, by now, but I always considered it part of Tepoz' powers at the Aztec god of alcohol (i.e. I never thought it could merely be poiting)... And it only occurred to me this morning that he never really was the god of alcohol, but merely fooled people into thinking so, due to his ability to poit alcohol (or anything else he wanted to poit, for that matter...)

A: Monica earned her nickname "
Pechochi" from Yummy Tea in grade school, probably in the
fourth grade.

Q: Who was the person that Monica spilled hot coffee on while she was in a fan girl fit?

James Randi.
Which creates another conflict for Monica. How can she be continue to be fangirlish about someone who makes a point of debunking claims of the paranormal, when she knows what she now knows, and is who she is? Yet another cost of growing up, I guess?
Q: What did Bud to, to take a mental break?

Well, it would be a problem for her.
You see, Randi's attitude is that since he can get on a commercial airliner (or series of them) and fly from Milwaukee to Cairo and rent a car/driver to go out to the Sphinx and then - assuming the Egyptian government allows it - climb up on the back of the Sphinx, and then go back to Milwaukee, and it only takes a couple days, Monica's putting a couple eggs in a fry pan for breakfast and poiting onto the Sphinx's back and then returning home before the eggs burn is obviously faked.

I am having second thoughts about that "conclusion" I had reached, about Tepoz not really being a god of alcohol...
Namely, based on this: alcohol manipulation is
in his programming. And there was no poit sound effect
when he sobered up Jin and Monica, leading me to believe he can, indeed, manipulate alcohol. If he were to use poiting, he would have had to poit every single molecule of alcohol from their bloodstream, which would require quite the poiting expertise... On the other hand, if he can manipulate alcohol as part of his programming, he doesn't need to concentrate on where it is, he just makes it go away.
Same thing with conjuring up beverages... if he was poiting them, they had to come from somewhere. If, on the other hand, he can do something like transform molecules into a glass of beer, then it wouldn't count as poiting. Poiting, from what I understand, takes something from somewhere and transports it somewhere else. We don't know how it happens, but it does. So unless Tepoz has a cave somewhere, filled with drinks of all sorts, from which he can poit them to wherever he is, he has to be conjuring it through some other method.
Consequently, the glass of Monica's favorite beer had to have been conjured up through his alcohol manipulating abilities/programming. Same thing with the pulque. On the other hand, dumping the pulque directly into Monica's body, that had to have been done through poiting, I believe. The same way he later poited a whole turkey (with, or without the bones? He's not sure...) into Monica, and Bud later poited a pizza into Monica, to speed up the eating process so they can move on to business...
I certainly would love to hear from Paul on the subject...

It involved
digging up and re-sodding her backyard.
I prefer the colorized version that was over in the Fan Art section.

... right. Okay.
Let's systematize teleportation, shall we?
We have the Anasazi-operated stargates. We have the auto stargates of the Library. We have the Library's own, hex-pattern teleportation.
And we have poiting.
We know of (I believe) five characters who can poit. (We may suspect another few characters, but I don't think they've poited on-screen. Of course, I may be blanking.)
The usual poiting moves one's self and may carry other people or objects in one's immediate presence. We have also seen plenty people and objects poited away from one's immediate presence. More rare is the kind of poiting that teleports something from somewhere outside of both line-of-sight and immediate presence.
Which four characters have we seen perform this "remote" kind of poit?
