Land on Mars, stand in front of a rover, and hold up a sign saying "'Sup?"

It's not like the rovers have guns, and they'll probably be able to leave before our nukes get to them if Donald Trump panics.

I forgot about the alien invasion films.

However, there was one UFO event I'd heard of where a UFO had shut down several nuclear missiles in their silos. Don't remember if there was just one UFO or several.

But even if Earth leaders launch nukes at them, I'm sure they can either shoot the things down or seriously screw up the control systems of anything we launch at them.

In unrelated news, when I got home, I found a dead squirrel in the driveway... And its eyes were popped out like in a cartoon. Super grossness.

Do you live in an area with constrictors(yes, there are natural American varieties, but they don't get very large)?

Yes guys, I know how the constrictors really kill, but this comment amused me.

Or perhaps it just saw its acorn tax assessment.

For Jabberwonky-

Here's the AT-AT you saw in that picture of my desk I posted on FB a while back. I finished it last night.

For others bored enough to look at this post, the AT-AT came in a flat package and required assembly. It is laser-cut metal. The kit is from Fascinations Metal Earth (fascinations.com) and was a minor challenge to put together. I needed to wear my "see-close" glasses and work with tweezers and needle nose pliers. I only broke one piece that I was able to salvage with super glue, the final result is OK. I don't need to do another...

We have a lot of dogs in the area. Plus, I could have run over it...

Took Helen and the girls to see Zootopia yesterday. (Helen was off work and the girls had Friday off school.)

Further proof that the better animated films these days are coming from the Disney brand than the Pixar brand.

Inside Out was okay - but not comparable to Toy Story, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles ...

This one deserves to be spoken of in the same breath as those - maybe not quite as great, but still touched with the same genius.

I think i'll be going back in a week or two to see it in 3D.

he said, "captain", i said, "wot?"

he said, "captain", i said, "wot do you want?"
While i was working with that last picture, i was using the same working folder i do for most pictures i'm going to upload or do other stuff with, and due to a sort, these two pictures came close to each other. A shot of the Prince from a few months before he died, and a relatively recent one of Natalie. I've always said Natalie has a fair amount of cat in her attitude.

If that's a typical worker, you may have more than a few weeks...

Lazy Sunday afternoon. I was finished with everything I had to do and was enjoying a cold beverage on the deck when I noticed this. The little thing must not have been aware of the hawk's nest not but a couple trees over...

University of Louisville campus is (or used to be) infested with albino tree rats - they practically run up your clothes to get eye to eye and demand handouts.

As we were just moving into the last house we lived in, a squirrel ran up on the porch with us and tried to come inside - AS we were going in & out.

A squirrel, presumably the same one (I am not skilled at telling one ordinary gray squirrel from another), continued to visit with us on our porch every once in a while for the next couple years. It took a nut directly from my hand a couple times. We called it "Cheeky".
