Both of these things could have taken place before Tepoz decided to "get generous" with the tequila... there was a lot of (pre)historic time for this to happen. Rough chronology seems to suggest that Lanthis was slagged down somewhere around 10,000 years ago?

The Girls as we know them now aren't the Girls they have always been since being separated from the Chimera. Tepoz had to work at seperating out and beginning out their original personalities. Even then, it was imperfect. Monica's unique status as Glyph reader and sacrifice allowed her direct control of the GGGs, which she used to grant them free will and restore their original personalities

Until then, Bud would "hump when the wind blew. She has said that she didn't feel like that was really her, that it felt like a dream.

Brandi has said she doesn't like who she is when she thinks too much. Considering everyone in the supernatural community thinks of her as "The Chessmaster", until Monica restored her original personality by returning her free will, that's exactly what she was.

True, but it appears that the GGs were able to act as fairly independent individuals even back then.

The "chronology" page on the Wapsi wiki (which Pablo seems to find acceptable) suggests that Tepoz's initial taking-charge and separating-out of the GGs occurred sometime between roughly 10000 BCE and 5000 BCE, and that Brandi's "deal" took place in that same time period. Unless Lily has her chronology wrong (and Brandi is for some reason not correcting her), the Deal must have happened prior to 4354 BC. as that's when Brandi completed setting up the Vimana-powered world grid.

I agree, Monica's orders to "remember" and to regain their independent free wills are what restored the GGs (as far as could be done without access to a Vimana cell).

However, I don't recall their being evidence that Tepoz had held the GGs in a "drunken" state for the whole time they were in his charge (thousands of years), so zachariah's question isn't really meaningful, I think. My impression is that the GG's "drunken" state was a relatively recent thing - there were many centuries during which the GGs were "mostly separated, mostly but not entirely independent and free-willed, not in a state for enforced drunkenness", and that this was the (long) period in which Brandi made her "deal" and then used the knowledge/power/information she received to set up the Vimana barrier.

I may well be wrong, but my impression is that the drunken college girl stick was to ease Monica into her duties as the Keeper of the Chimera. They were distinct beings with their own personalities. Bud and Brandi just didn't have full access to their memories.

Jin did though, and she was able to direct events, along with Brandi, who was probably more dangerous without her full memories.

Starts here and runs for several strips.
The fourth one in the conversation Tepoz sez that their appearance as drunken college girls was him showing off. He didn't expect them to stay that way...

I'm looking for the one where Brandi recalls that they hid out as a traveling dance troupe.
