That's what struck me right away. Castela is quick on picking up nonverbal cues, but seems to be a bit slow on thinking through why they are there in the first place.

It makes some sense that she'd be read into the case, given that she's an official MiB agent who is often closely involved with two of the individuals who themselves were involved in the whole mess. She'd be likely to be on the scene to notice if something was going wrong, and to be in a position to act. Especially if people wanting to use Castela as a weapon is still an ongoing concern.

The only real reason I could see why Lily wouldn't be told is if somebody was afraid that her close personal relationship with Castela and Atsali might mess with her judgment.

Thx, they turned out not to be- but might have been...

This most recent arc reminds me of the times, not too far back, when it was common for the Doctor to not reveal your condition to the patient (because it would just cause an upset...).
