Last time I went there I didn't need a dimensional portal to get to California, just a mundane airliner. The trip to Utah had what looked like a Hellmouth in southern CO on the outbound leg, but nothing like that on the homebound leg.

Don't need that . . . the airline just knows where the portal is.

Last time I went, I drove and the portal was just north of Sacramento.

It took us back to the 60s too . . . tie-dye and the Grateful Dead.

Perhaps one of these would help getting there?

That's the Messerschmidt (in front) isn't it? Haven't seen one of those in several years. Used to be place here that had a number of cars like that.

No . . . went to California with a friend on Memorial Day weekend 1993, and when we pulled into a rest stop just north of Sacramento, there was a guy playing the bongos, and classic-type hippes wandering all over, and several VW vans painted with the classic hiippie paint jobs (flowers and the like) . . . looked downright odd on a Vanagon.

Turned out the Grateful dead were in the area.

What if Devyn is an aromantic asexual?
With her empathic ability, that would be all manner of uncomfortable.

The only way it could be worse is if she were also sex-repulsed.
