There's a movie where Sherlock Holmes, Watson, and the client are dining in a restaurant, discussing the case. Holmes asks Watson to describe the person they're searching for. Watson lists off the details: short, stocky man with a moustache and swarthy face in a long dark coat, last seen wearing a bowler.

Holmes asks, "Like the fellow over there?"

Watson: "My God! It's him!"

And Holmes replies, "Like so many people, Watson, you see, but you do not observe."

Such is Atsali. I can relate.

"I can relate..."
So say we all...

"Brave New World"
Along with most of the Giants bibliographic collective (all of Welles & Verne, [the entire] Asimov, misc Burroughs, and the whole 'Lensman' series remains, as yet, un-absorbed...)

Still, I remain, undaunted...

I'll see your 'Lensman' series and raise you one 'Flashman' series!

Excellent! More on point.

I've been in my share of situations where I see the goings on about me, but have no clue until later when I've had a chance to reflect or somebody points it out. It's like having a Keystone Cops bar fight all around you which tumbles out into the street. You're alone now, and you wonder, "What was that?" and go back to your beer.

Hmmm. 10 AM Central time, and no strip yet.

Hope all is well, and that is just that a certain para family is in a postprandial Buca Italian Crème Cake coma!

For such a big brand, Comcast is notoriously unreliable and shitty to their customers. Though, I don't know what ISP Paul uses.

Today's Comcast outage map is showing a lot of problems, nation-wide, with one of the hot spots being in Minnesota.

It's distinctly worse now than it was when I looked earlier this morning.

The local Comcast has monumentally poor security practices . . . like ignoring account locks to hand out critical information to anybody who asks, and printing account passwords on work orders.

I was warned about this by an employee.

And Atsali is raising obliviousness to an art form . . .
