(Its throwing me for a loop that the most recent strip ; 'Like Weeds' is dated 29Jun2016, when it's the 30th of June and everything. I'ze confus-zed...)

Now with Castela, it could also be a threat display, which is not incompatible with rebellion.

Though it posted late on the 29th, this is the comic for the 30th.
The next comic posted at about nine PM on 30 June, but is the last for this week - and thus is the comic for 1 July.
Paul's been posting early as often as not lately.
