As usual, I am getting bad vibes off this "Suzie". Lilly (I miss her dreadlocks) should feel as something is off, with her around.

Really? I've never felt like anything was "off" about Suzie. She's always seemed about as normal as any other character in this comic (meaning that she's got some serious emotional scars in her past and she's a paranormal, but is otherwise just fine as a person).

I am 100% in favor of this execution method! If they could institute this for all death row inmates it would really kick one of the biggest arguments against the death penalty out the window.

Bit of a stretch, but...Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Toons are capable of wildly unnatural feats and live alongside humans. Main human character doesn't want to be involved with them due to a dark event in his past.

In the original book, toons (who do comic strips and comic books, not movies) are heavily discriminated against.

Also, it's set in the 70s.

And it's called Who Censored Roger Rabbit. Roger hires Eddie to find out who murdered him.

You know, as this week has been going on, I'm getting the feeling that Pablo is sabotaging some of our fanfic intentionally...

Keep in mind, they're probably not killing ALL the death row inmates in ONE prison. I would imagine this is spread out. Also consider, prison authorities are in a perfect situation to make up cover stories, with the MiB providing backups via autopsy results and staging. Inmate A got hold of a piece of metal, honed it razor sharp, and cut his own throat. Inmates B, C, D, and E were found dead in their cells of natural causes or drug overdoses. Inmate F was conducting a daring escape when his foot slipped, he fell 100 feet, and his shattered body was found in a pool of his own blood at the foot of the prison. Inmate G was executed by lethal injection. At his request the process was closed to the press and public, witnesses are listed as Officers Pratt and McBride.

Lots of people die in prison naturally. Not many on death row, but it happens.

And speaking of autopsies, as part of that the blood is usually drained, anyway, so once the corpse reaches the Medical Examiner it's all over.

That's actually a big problem with the prison industrial complex. The warden can lie through his/her teeth about how a prisoner died.

Hell, it happens at jails, too. We've had two “suicides" in the last two months. Jails cells don't have trashcans or sheets.

Pickle killed a fairy and can disintegrate objects with her bare hands. She's not completely innocent or clueless.

I'm wondering when we're getting back to that.

I had no idea. Funny aside, I bought a Laserdisk player last century and in order to have something to play on it out of the box they included a copy of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' in the box.

Further to the side I was married at one time to a lady who fancied her a dopelganger and got great mileage from Mrs Rabbit's "I'm no Bad, I'm just drawn that way...' quote.

Although, my memory works in mysterious ways, so forgive me if I just forgot. Trust me, it isn't an indication of anything. I've forgotten most of the details of my family vacations to Hawaii, San Diego, and the Spanish class trip to Costa Rica.

I don't think we'll ever know for certain whether shadowinthlight's rescripting of an Atsali panel, having her ignite her own flatulence (and then later comment bitterly about the weird fan-rescriptor having her do so), might have inspired Paul to have had Jessie do just this (as canon!). But, it's possible!

True "drunken mastery" is very much a state of mind... a willingness to be loose, to push against the borders, to follow the inspiration in unconventional ways. I don't think requires, or even necessarily benefits from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants... the best is distilled directly from within the psyche of the implementor.

A Karuk medicine man I knew for some years used to say "I'm spiritual drunk!"... he may have been on some of the same stuff you are!
