I'm getting the distinct impression Nadette's lust for Atsali is making Nadette lose some of her higher brain function.
...generally a male problem, but I've seen it happen with females quite often: born with two things for thinking; one between the ears and one between the legs, but only enough blood to properly operate one at a time.
Who was the comic that thought of that joke? Robin Williams? Or was it George Carlin? Sigh...
Anyway - my point is I see several sides to this fiasco: Atsali just did a couple awesome things, one of which directly involved Nadette. Nadette is having a critical primary brain failure and is running on just her nether-regions-brain.
So yes, Nadette is being quite forward.
But she might have interpreted Atsali's words more as a "let's get jiggy with it" than how several of us are interpreting them; as in "I messed up and I need you to help translate yourself when I have trouble again."
Then there's also the idea that Nadette is simply making her statement in the clearest, non-misinterpret-able manner possible.
Personally, I think it's a bit of everything. Clouded judgement due to lust on Nadette's part, causing some misinterpretation of Atsali's words and intent, leading to Nadette being more forward than would be prudent.
Aside from that, did anyone else notice the silhouetted girl with the almond-shaped eyes has really, really wide hips?

Right on the first guess, Robin Williams.

Perhaps Sali was expecting
this kind of
more verbal help.
Not the more physical approach, however that's fairly clear. Given how often Atsali's mouth is kinda left unhinged in such moments, I do wonder if Nadette slipped in some tongue for additional punctuation.

So she has.
That should be Alexis if the group is Devyn’s gang. She doesn’t look particularly hippy in the only other picture that
shows lower torso.

Nadette is making sure that Atsali cannot possibly mistake her signal.

Also, i call to your attention that Atsali - who blushes easily - is not blushing in the final panel.
And, while not conclusive, it's a closed-eyes kiss on both sides.

Lack of blush might be an indication of shock and indignation... But yeah. It can also indicate comfort and acceptance of the situation.
...
Really, the only way is to wait until slightly after midnight tonight.

I'd have liked to have seen what Atsali said to the Fan Club. Given how wide-eyed they are, I hope she didn't blow their minds with statements that to her made sense, but to them were like Jove's thunderbolts.
RE Nadette's lip lock on 'Sali, a few points. Nad is a Seer; and while Atsali's uniqueness and previous traumas make it hard for the Bear to See the Bird's future and present clearly, she probably can see enough mystically AND physically to know it's safe to try to approach Atsali again. Hopefully. After all, even someone as clueless as 'Sali would know to start out a conversation in which you beg for help from a would be lover with a "I care for you as a FRIEND" type speech if that's ALL you want them to be (terminally friendzoned). And, to be blunt about it, would anything short of grabbing Atsali and exchanging spit be enough to express amour and affection? She might miss simpler clues...
And Nadette doesn't yet know - that we know - about Devil Girl and the pain her death inflicted on Atsali. Hopefully 'Sali will talk about it and the two of them can start to ease that hurt.

28 here and if a friend that I knew was in love with me, did this without my express permission to do so (and I'm an aspie too so I can't read people either) I would be very upset. Until I have told someone they have permission to kiss me that's a no fly zone along with the rest of my body. I don't care
what they look like. Even my own fiance and that goes for both of us. We ask and if the other says no, thats the end of it. Telling someone you trust to point out clues to you is not the same as "Touch me however you want"
And while I am sure this will not have as negative an outcome as I would have in this situation because of the print, Nadette's freedom with touching Atsali bothers me. Bothers me as much as it did Grandma.

and what if she SAID she was in love with you?? and you were too busy with some game to properly hear it?? got really worried you were acting like a fool...
and days later she appears, says 'HI..

' and you say sorry you did not hear her say she loved you???
Its all in the last few strips... :/ you need to go back to December... :p
wait.. you're *engaged* ???

what would happen if you were not in any way 'attached' to someone??? you would scare them away! miss the chance of a lifetime...

Nadette is not being pushy. She has just figured out that Atsali is about as hint sensitive as your average teenage boy
and has ramped up her subtlety level accordingly

It's really, really hard to gauge how long ago their fight was. Could have been last week, could have been a month.
Regardless, I'm in agreement with chibichibi.

The look on her face says "shock", more than "embarassment", to me, so it would make sense that she wouldn't be blushing.

You bet, it's not conclusive: Atsali had her eyes closed before Nadette moved in. In fact, I think it's safe to say she never saw it coming!

Speaking of other items missing - on Saturday the 27th there was a Book 7 posted "Farting Rainbows" through Lulu publishing . Hace not seen it since. "Vely interesting" said the German spy behind the bush.

There's a line between being blunt and being... pushy/personal-space-invading/sexually harassing/downright rude.
...
In my opinion, it isn't a very thin line. Nadette could have just as easily said "I forgive you, we're totally cool, and just so you know, I'm still totally into you and so turned on I'm stupid."
I'm giving Nadette the benefit of the doubt and assuming she's actually so turned on by Atsali she can't think straight.
>_>
<_<

Nadette may be leaning over the line quite a bit, but coming on too strong is a common mistake for inexperienced, hormone addled teenagers.

Ya'll might be right about Nadette pushing more than her foot into the crack in the slightly ajar open-door that is all-things-Atsali but I'd also think about the emotional seesaw she herself might well be riding...
"What do you mean you might not be indifferent to me out of indifference? You mean your indifference is in fact something I can work with?, Over? get past with hard work and lots of smooches? Um... OK."

Looking at the Patreon banner, I think that if Paul ever creates a "Wapsi Studios" company of some sort, the logo should be that picture of Pickle running with scissors.

I thought that was what the weird gear thingamabob with the face on it was. In the upper-left hand corner?
